So I’m in the septic business. I have a lot of satisfied customers and some family members that have allowed me to put yard signs In next to road on their properties. But they all seem to go missing. I’ll replace them and holy hell those get gone too. I’ve got a POS competitor who has recently started putting up signs as week, his don’t seem to go missing. I’m positive it’s him or his crackheads taking them, but can’t prove it.

I’m not going to stoop to his level and take his, but I want to get back at him for it. I figured since this group is a bunch of sick and twisted degenerates y’all could help me think of a way to mess with him. :beer:
 
Fawk that get a really good customers that allow you to put signs in their yards and enjoys a good laugh. hook up a nice electric fence cord and put two clamps on it and hook them up to the sign... trail cam or cctv from inside the property owners house and please post video results!
 
Your best bet is to put signs and hidden cams on a route where you know he'll get em, then go after him legally.

But I'd rather see you rig up something with fishing line connected to a striker that lights a circle of M80s all around the sign as he pulls it out of the ground.

Wow that’s way better than electricity... explosions always win in my heart! I’d make redneck mini pipe bombs with air soft pellets in em and striker could be easily made with little rocket igniters and small battery lol
 
We’ll go macgyver on his ass... if ya have idea of when they are taking the signs, a paintball gun and video camera are amazing things together with spot lights if at night Lol red paintballs will make em think twice when they see red spots and think you’ve shot em!
 
Oh or better yet you could combine the paintball gun idea with the trigger wire and the cameras!! Entirely automated! As a bonus, you can use the wire to trigger the camera also, game cam, you'll end up with a bunch of pics of passing cars.

I didn’t wanna look like the lunatic but yeah... shoot him in the hand once or twice and then tell him why it happened and have a good day and to keep what’s left of his hand to himself!

He’s already missing a finger or 2 on one hand.
 
Electrifying the signs sounds awesome and was my first thought. However the video proof sent to the sheriff and posting it on social media would be the most effective. I’d confront him when caught, on video, which would mean being on a stake out, but posting the whole ordeal online would make for good local publicity for you and bad for him.

Even better, enough of us can hold him down and I know of damn good ways to remove fingers with only bailing twine and a stick... lol I’d set up a trap honestly tho a good laugh beats a ride in police car any day of the week! I could use the laugh from this too especially if I get to help come up with idea for the trap haha
 
Paintball claymores... make sure it’s oil based paint injected so his truck gets it’s good too!!
 
I like the game camera idea. If you can get a pic of the owner yanking the signs I would think the local newspaper would like to print the pic w a short story about the stolen signs. Bad for him, more advertising for you.
 
wouldn't stealing signs off private property be trespassing and obtaining property by false pretenses or something like that. When everyone see's his name in the paper or online fore the charges, problem will probably solve itself.

I'd put a bunch of my signs in his front yard one night, if he's even remotely bright, he'll get the picture.
 
Not sure where Walnut Grove is, but if I happen to be up that way anytime soon I'll pay the guy/guys a courtesy visit. He has no idea who I am and never will. It's all fun and games until the crazy comes out. He may even get to pull his shiny little powpow and feel like a big boy for the day, but regardless, a strong message will be delivered.

I only do that for friends.
 
First, you don't have the right sign out. Get one of the fab shops here among the NC4x4 crowd to build you one. A nice one, but not too fancy. Say a thousand dollar yard sign. Be sure and save the receipt.

Then it's felony theft in NC (over $1k).
