I hate the For Sale section BS rules... WTF ????

This is nothing new... Why ppl seem to feel that rules or instructions arent important to read... Then again, I wouldnt do anything at work, if our customers read the instructions...

Latley I have been nice & not deleting many threads just editing out the craigslink's or requesting that a price be posted per forum rules. Only to get pm's wanting me to explain the rules or giving me some crap.

HAHA, yeha id have little tolerance too... Maybe just leave their thread there, but replace whats in it with a link to the rules...
 
It is kind of like when people bitch about their freedom of speech in a web forum, BUT they forget that the site is privately owned, and that owner/admin can do anything he/she feels like. It is the way of life online, and people forget about it and cry that they are being repressed hehehehe

I wonder what the topic will be come thursday. A. I got banned for no reason b. This board sucks. C. The mods sucks d. Ah screw d, i really dont care that much
 
those that answer A) should catch the ban hammer on the rebound. Anyone who answers B) or C) can find somewhere else to whine.

Thanks man. I guess you didnt see in the other post where I saw he was banned and asked where he was. Then I came to this post and read it ("reading previous posts") and saw why he was booted.

You know.... I didn't consider that aspect, but your right...

I usually smile and just let stuff slide and try to be nice about stuff. I really don't have a good way of saying "I'm really, really serious" Hell its just the web.. right ?

Plus a lot is lost on a keyboard and monitor. I DO understand that 98% are much different in person and most I have meet in person really are nice people and thus I cut some slack.

The FS section sees ~75% of the sites traffic and thus gets the most moderation. Many new users are here just to buy/sell and never read the rules. It's just high volume all the time.. So minor shit adds up to a lot of busy work.
 
didnt we discuss adding a post count requirement before you gain the ability to post in the for sale section?

now that im thinking about it. i think it got killed because too many deals from one time posters might be lost.

My life was in no way impacted by being banned from this site for two days. :flipoff2:
Well except for the 3 hours I was curled up under my desk in the fetal position...

That and it gave me a chance to renew my passport, and research traveling to South Africa.

I just noticed the two guys that were banned have Defender 90's... it's a conspiracy!
