hey that's cool, and some great photos! Looks like a ton of fun, wish I could get one for my boy...

Me And one of my buddys started racing a couple of karts around the neighborhood. 2 years later we had 16 karts and over 35 people at the track. This is the cheapist hobby I have ever had!!! Any of yaw have a track or want to drag one out we would be glad to come out there and race!! If anyone has any frames or moters let me know if you want to sell em. Thanks for all the positive feedback!!!

I have a couple of racing carts I need to get rid of. anyone interested????????

That is how it all started for me, We had a 1/4 mile race track cut in at my grandfathers house, we had about 10-20 karts every weekend or so, just locals, racing around the track, just for the fun really. One thing lead to another, we went from a $200 operation to racing karts proffesionally at $40,000 a year operation, racing statewide. If you where closer to raleigh I would love to pick up yard kart and join yall, that was some fun times. Once we started racing at professional tracks it was still fun but the intensity of winning and losing took a tole on me.

We stopped racing about 5 years ago but still have a 16' enclosed trailer full of misc parts for sale, I have some hot little motors in that trailer that would push the hell out of one of them yard carts, lol, actually it would probably burn that single driver tire off :driver:

Is this thread really happening?

May look goofy, but that is some fun times.

Imagine racing around on that little kart that you might have $100 in and a few dollars in fuel total. Amount of fun per dollar is great. lol

Shoot I spend more than $100 just in fuel if I take my boat out for the weekend. Or if I break something on the truck while wheeling

No shit. I've had a lot of toys, but one of my favorite still was the go cart I had. Would race the neighbors in theirs, then put oil on the tires and do donuts. Someone in WNC needs to start something like this.
