Not sure what edm is but I know someone who does bdsm

Negligible benefit of tighter tolerances really. Not strictly necessary. I’d be glad to get this to one of you guys with a mill to machine the slot. Or I can take it down to our tech center in Mebane and mill it. Or Matt can probably do it in-house. I can probably scrounge up an end mill if needed.

Why not Wire EDM or Broach. :stirthepot:
I'm sure machining a rough Semi and finish carbon would be a hell of a lot more than milling it out of steel. Plus having and running an EDM on top of the milling of the carbon.🤑

Hell you might want to try sintering one. or 3D welding one I'm sure one of the Aerospace manufactures would make one for you this way.
 
I mean I weren't joking a couple weeks ago, this is the socket out of 4140ph. The oval is just wider since don't know where the sharp corners are on the part. It's 12.89mm between the flats.

Funny you bump this thread. My tear down guy used the Braxtool a few days ago and it worked great. I took some pics of the assembly today.
