In memory of SSgt Daniel Zerbe - memorial build

Ron, good idea, I am trying to get somebody to tow it down there for us right now. my trailer will be here to use for transport, just need the truck and driver. I am still trying to be there for the race so my other trailer will be full, As of right now im still up in the air if ill be there (my assistant is pretty sick).

I am hoping to present it to the family when his friends and platoon come back from Afghanistan around Thanksgiving. a place like DPG would be perfect, but ill work that out later.

Sounds like everything's coming together Greg, thanks a ton. I've been passing around what you're doing for Dan to the rest of the team and they're as stoked as I am. We can't wait to see it (and wheel it) when we get home. I'll probably be wanting to hit up URE the weekend we get home, I'm itchin for some wheelin. I'd personally like to thank everyone for their donations, this means a lot to Dan's family and our team.

GOOD STUFF guys, it looks like Yager is gonna tow it down to the ECORS race and babysit it for us. If only we had Rickys mud girls to come and pose on it for us......

that might earn a few extra donations!

Greg, it would be an honor for his jeep and family to come out to the veterans comemarative ride on veterans day in uwharrie, possibly lead a ride in his honor!

This would be pretty awesome.

Great suggestion. This is exactly the way we want it used. I don't see that as any problem whatsoever. November 11th and 12th?

What are you doing this weekend?

If the weather holds, you should bring it down to DPG.

I should be racing but an unfortunate emergency has rendered my assistant unable to work.......so i miss another race again........dangit!

it looks like Yager is going to bring it down for us.

Sorry the update came a little slow.

*Dan's family made the trek down recently to see the Jeep and go over the plans with us. It was an emotional time here and they were happy to see what our community is trying to do for them
* Want to send a huge shout out to PROFENDER for offering to donate a set of their smoothbody shocks for the build as well.
* Another big thanks to ATLANTIC TIRE for their $1000.00 donation toward the build
*Jerry Reid at PUREGOLD helped us out with allowing us to bring the jeep to a bike rally and get together in wilmington that raised almost $1100.00 dollars for the build
*There are a ton of people we still have to thank and we will get to that soon so i hope noone thinks we forgot you its just been busy here at the store

We are currently looking for someone who has a tj with a 32RH trans from 97-02. We need someone who has the automatic that wants to convert to manual. We will cover all of the costs for install as well as a free centerforce clutch (stage II). We only need the jeep for two days so Greg and our Shop Foreman can make the changeover. If you are interested please contact myself or greg on here or at the store at 919-571-8105.

Thanks again,
The Staff at 4 WHEEL PARTS

Good news! Cant wait to see how this turns out! Is there a goal you are looking to reach? What are you at currently?

Starting the manpower work of the build......

wanted to say a huge thanks to:
Mr. Van Riper from trucklite for donating their led headlights and taillights

Awesome stuff, len, thanks for stepping up!
Thanks Jason but no thanks needed.

I'm humbled and honored that Greg is using the transmission and associated parts from my TJ so that I am able to contribute to this worthy effort for one of our fallen brothers in arms and his family.

the Jeep is progressing nicely. We recieved our driveshafts from Quigley Van today. I got in our front and rear LED lights from trucklite. Smittybilt stepped up with the armor and the bumpers. Our auto conversion is nearing complete and the transmission is at TLC getting rebuilt as we speak.

New donors to the list include:

Chris at Leith Jeep in Raleigh has graciously donated the new radiator and exhaust manifold as well as all the fluids to complete the Jeep.

Chase ECGS has stepped up big time with a 8.8 axle and the TJ brakcets for the rear. We will be stuffing 4.56s and 35s in this Jeep.

Our new wheels from MHT should be arriving anyday now too!
As soon as we ge tthe mechanicals done it will be moving over to Sound Station & Security for a bitchen alarm, entertainment, and security system.

Lens Jeep is now officially a manual jeep and we are waiting for the new trans mount bracket from AEV to mate up to his flat belly. We intend to address some of his issues to before we give him his jeep back.

we are shooting to have it all done for the ride in URE on November 11th.
