Hey Everyone, I wanted to share some pics of my new fabricated bumpers and rack on our shop truck. I own a engineering design and fabrication shop in Pickens near Table Rock (about 10 min over the SC border just south of Asheville). This means I luckily have some cool tools at my disposal. We started off solely designing low cost, space frame performance 3 wheel cars, but the people have spoken.
I did some custom bumpers and rack for our shop truck/tow vehicle, and the local response has driven us to start a new division that focuses in off-road design and fabrication. We have done a few bumpers now for older trucks and 4x4s due to the lack of new designs for older vehicles. It seems all the aftermarket options for the classics are stuck in the 90's or earlier.
We can do pretty much any fabricated bumper design for and truck, by first 3D scanning the truck, which allows us to design the bumper efficiently in the computer, and then fabricating the parts in house using CNC equipment. Check out some pics of our shop truck:
