Hey Everyone, I wanted to share some pics of my new fabricated bumpers and rack on our shop truck. I own a engineering design and fabrication shop in Pickens near Table Rock (about 10 min over the SC border just south of Asheville). This means I luckily have some cool tools at my disposal. We started off solely designing low cost, space frame performance 3 wheel cars, but the people have spoken.

I did some custom bumpers and rack for our shop truck/tow vehicle, and the local response has driven us to start a new division that focuses in off-road design and fabrication. We have done a few bumpers now for older trucks and 4x4s due to the lack of new designs for older vehicles. It seems all the aftermarket options for the classics are stuck in the 90's or earlier.

We can do pretty much any fabricated bumper design for and truck, by first 3D scanning the truck, which allows us to design the bumper efficiently in the computer, and then fabricating the parts in house using CNC equipment. Check out some pics of our shop truck:

I use Reconstruct Me and various other programs. It all open source stuff.

Normally stuff like a chase rack on the east coast would bug me...but there is something oddly badass about a chase truck rack on that body style Chevy.

Warrior.....Its not hard at all and you wouldn't believe how easy it is and just uses video game stuff you might already have if you have kids !! I'll see if I can type up a thread about my design process I use in my shop. If thats ok?

Yes!! I was just actually saying the same thing to a buddy... It looks Billy Ray Cyrus with a mullet. And if the old "Do Work" Truck had a personality that would be exactly it.

I'll work on a putting a thread together that outlines my design process. I'll throw a link here when I get it up.

Don't get me wrong, my bread and butter is the new designs for the classics, I just have to build a rack for that show jeep, and figured I might be able to scan a local one rather than driving out of town to scan it personally.

That's pretty cool. I'm not much on light bars but something like that with an integrated winch mount is like what I have in mind for my 2k Chevy 2500.

Been wanting a bumper for a 2005 Ram 2500 Diesel that can accept a winch. Just do not want to pay the north of 1k to get it. What you think one would cost if my truck was a donor truck for a build?
