has anyone else to the point where they can finally afford to actually begin to build a rig the way they want but now dont have time to do. It sucks, when I was in high school I had a YJ that I lifted, put nice meats on, got a winch for but was broke as hell all the time trying to mess with it. Now I got a pretty decent paid-for TJ, a DD to get to work and back with but no time to really work on the Jeep. I am afraid I will be 60 before I have both time AND money for using on my expensive toy.

Welcome to LIFE !!!!

have a few kids, that makes working on ANYTHING difficult !

Well I am working hard (hence the lack of time) so maybe the money will come soon enough to where its that easy.

This is exactly why I tried to get all my BIG projects done before we had little ones..

no kidding I played last week and about cried in happiness. No one has any room to not have time if they dont have kids

I prefer to be broke all the time and working on my junk :driver:

Having literally no overhead at all except gas $$ is niiiiiice :wheel: I still got at least one year of it left, more if I do grad school, kinda funny I think I'm gonna do grad school but not cause I care at all just so I can postpone the real world for at least an extra year or so :shaking:

I sure as hell hope you thank your parents every day. After working 2-3 jobs to put myself through school and now doing it again I would kill to have zero overhead.

The really fun part of wheeling is when you hit the point that the rig is built, you are dieing to go wheeling, and you don't have the time or the money to put diesel in the tow rig to get there. When time is short just build really slowly. I have a rig in the garage that is over a year old and the body and frame have yet to come back together.

Well I'm paying for most of it myself I got a scholarship, a grant and two loans paying my college expenses. I'm just gonna be in debt "up to my eyeballs" when I get out :shaking:

The worst thing is, just when it looks good....

5 years....livin' large. Everything paid off. Just paying for kids-n-wife.
7 years ago my Dad died.
3 years ago Moms health starts to decline and need to move in w/ us.
No room in our house.
New house ( 2 years ) and another person in the family funds.
Startin' all over.

Matt - but... No regrets
