I have never heard of rice in chilli... is this a real debate?
Everyone likes a nice 3-way

Fritos FTW!I'd eat any or all of it. Yall are a buncha picky little biotches who would get really upset when I told you I tear up tortilla shells and put it in mine sometimes.

Unpopular opinion...but chili is not a meal, it's a condiment.
Now this man is asking the real questions!!!My dad was from lowcountry SC. Rice (and/or grits) goes with anything. 'cept chili. Never heard of that, or considered it.
My funny chili story....our town park had a fundraiser, iirc, it was right before we got married. Five bucks for a bowl of chili, and you got a local potter's chili bowl to take home. We were sitting in the park eating our chili, and renee had unwrapped all her crackers and arranged them around the rim of the bowl. About that time, a photographer from the local paper walked by, and the picture, in color, of her artfully arranged crackers was on the front page the next day. She (the photographer) made some wisecrack about how pretty her arrangement was, and I made a wisecrack back. "Don't mind her, shes from back up in the mountains." or the like. Do y'all remember Rule #1....NEVER say anything in front of a reporter because he'll print it (and usually screw it up)??
Took me a while to live that down.
Now for the real debate....does sugar go in cornbread, or no?
Chili without beans: condiment. Goes on burgers, hot dogs, fries, etc. Chili with beans: meal. Eat with cheese and crackers/chips/tortillas.
