Is your rig unbreakable ?

I can break anything. Just ask the guys that saw me break a spicer 297 joint and shaft on a my d44 turning around on flat ground last weekend.

My rig is unbreakable because it does not go anywhere. The only breakage I have to fear is a tree falling on it.

aaron who ever the fawk you are, how bout you quit being a jackass. at least he is wheeling somthing unlike the other 90% of this board that sits at home all day and web wheels. shit i took my pile to the playground this weekend half finished and beat the living hell out of it. yea, it broke a lot, but i just got winched out of the way and the show goes on. you want to talk about a fucked up rig, you putting that junk on 'wells and 44's is a waste for URE. dont go bitching at him when you dont even have a roof. greg is right, a single bar is not a cage.

yea that was funny and sad at the sametime........the best part of it was watching you weld the u-joint caps to the ears with 2 bats and some coat hangers :gitrdun: :D

If you think my jeep is overbuilt, then you have nothing to worry about. It was it's second trip out, shaking out a few quirks at URE so I don't hold up the show on longer, harder trails. I need to know that the links work before I incorporate the rest of the cage into the frame. Your comment is a shitty attempt to change the subject. As was the post title change and deleted posts (or posts left behind... whatever)

That's great, a great place to do it. Nothing wrong with that.

how am I being a jackass?
Cause I don't think he should jam up the trails?
I asked him if he was going to jam up the trails and he said "yup"
That is/ was the only point I was making before I was insulted and attacked by the mods and others for not having the same opinion. Who ever the fawk you are

I'll quote your website.

http://www.wreckincrew.org/

"We are a group of wheelers that like to play hard and drink hard!"

"We also have no clue as to when to stop with our machines. We are never done modifying our junk to get just that last ounce of performance out of it. And once we get that ounce out, we just take it out and break it, so we can start all over again."

Sorry dude you had it comming. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

That's right. Constantly improving. :D We all brake, but you don't see anyone with one tons running more than 39.5's. And that guy has cromo shafts. We aren't trying to be better than anyone. We aren't indestructable. :) But we don't take "half finished" rigs out on the trails and "beat the living hell out of um" either. We try our best to build um right. ;)

Again, you are attacking ME and Wreckin Crew, instead of explaning why it's ok to take your rig out when you know you will "Jam up the trails".

I'm sorry I have insulted your friend, but behind the screen, you all know that it isn't ok to take junk on the trails and plug um up. If you want to keep trying to dig up shit on me, and insulting me and my Jeep, and threating to "help me leave", that's cool :D but it will just keep spreading the hate. :(

I gotta jump in here with Aaron on this one....

Topic: Is Your Rig Unbreakable?

his His first post header: yep

the first question: so your going to be the next guy jamming up the trails?

His responce: that will be me...tired of wrenching on something instead of being on the trails

Ignoring all else that was said after that point be it from Aarons mouth or anyone elses.... I say he's a selfish Dumb ass too!

I just spent 6 months + working on my trash. I could take it the trails right now and wheel, but I know I will break it because although It can be driven, it still needs a couple finishing pieces to avoid breaking. I've taken a ration of shit from buddies about not having it done and ready and told to stop being a pussy and wheel it. But I'm not gonna be the guy that's on the trail knowing I'm gonna break and saying screw it because I want to play. FUCK THAT! he is a selfish idiot. get your shit in gear, get it fixed or go ride bitch with someone.

Somehow I doubt he's planning a trip to Tellico with his D44 and 39's. But being how I've run every trail at UNF in a bone stock vehicle, I don't see him clogging up any trails at that place. My wife in her stock 00' WJ rolls through there like a paved road. That being said, I've also sheared off a D60 knuckle, broken a cromo shaft and CTM joint with 38's at UNF jackassing around. But if he's careful I bet he can conquer the almighty UNF.
So where are you going to wheel the thing?

arron - think your confusing a few different people here. Just to keep it straight there was only 1 mod posting anything and that was ME. I split the thread and said if you kept pissing me off id help you leave. Definitly an overstatement on my part, as it takes more than a wayward thread to get me going. But if you took that as an insult and attack so be it..

My goal was to stop polluting his picture thread, that's been accomplished. As far as this topic, as long as its not to heated it will be allowed to continue. If you notice most people arnt repling about the thread, only combating every reply you have made to every other persons post.

Big differnece in going in a stock vehicle and one that's got axles too weak for the size tire. I do agree that if you don't stand on the skinny pedal you're more than likely not gonna break. I'm not gonna argue with you over knowledge of parts and their durabilty. I know of you Bigwoody, if you are who I've heard, you know more than I do and I'm not gonna dispute that.

the fact that irritates me is he's admitted that he knows his trash ain't ready and he's very likely gonna bust. All I'm saying, like Aaron, is be considerate of others on the trail. You never know when and where you're gonna break, you could clog the the trails up and screw up others plans. Go out knowing to the best of your knowledge that your trash is sound, and be prepared for what you don't know.

my dana 35 is unbreakable  :flipoff2: same sitution a few weeks ago at tellico. a zuk had busted a birfeild on lower 2. then he attempted wants to attemt to 3wheel it out (keep in mind it was on 31's) he goes about 10 more feet and snaps his drag link. he really had no clue what to do after that. so he decided he wanted to weld it. after about 90 min. it was rolling again. he winched (well attemped) and the damn winch died. so after another hour or so we got it off the trail.

we all know that something is bound to break sooner or later. just know and have the tools fix it.

No, No, after my post about "oh great, I want to go wheelin with you" I have been combating every reply that has been made by every other person insulting me, my Jeep, and the club I belong to. I didn't bring all that stuff up

It just seems like you started bashing on the guy way too quick. Like you lost your temper. I think that's the way a lot of us see it.

Peace brother....

Anyone mind if I jump in here? First, that guy's rig may not be "finished", but it's a helluva lot more trail-ready than my Jimmy is. So why is anyone worried about him breaking it? Unless he really does try to go somewhere it won't, why would it be all that likely to break?

On the other hand, someone said they've taken a STOCK truck all over URE, which is good news to me because except for a body lift and 31's, that's me. But the only reason I haven't shown up there yet is I need to get a tow strap, extinguisher, etc. And I'm working on doing that.

And in conclusion.... even a TANK will break axles if you do stupid things with it. Trust me. They'll get good and stuck, too.

Which rig are you refering to?

See, this thread did end up being helpful. I never knew tanks had axles but now I do. :D I hope it comes up in trivial pursuit soon.

(I know, lame attempt at humor but I can only work with what I got which is admittedly little.)
