Is your rig unbreakable ?

ramsey's are slower when unloaded, under a load, they are neck and neck with warns. i run a warn now, have had both, don't really care one way or the other.

just hate the dipshit comments of how slow ramseys are, do some research.

Along the lines of Patrick's thinking, I think the line speed when lightly loaded is most important, but even that is much more important for the manual trans guys... nothing sucks more than over-running your cable and then having it snap back taut... It was a pleasure to be able to fully engage the clutch and have the winch keep up when I switched to the 8274.

When the winch is fully loaded down, slow is a good thing.. :)

My Ramsey REP9000 with an upgraded motor was a great winch, just slow to wind in with little to no load... but it would pull really well when loaded... Adding a dedicated ground wire helps alot...

.

I've done the research...I have a Ramsey. With about 75 - 100 pulls on it...SLOW AS MOLASSES! It is an REP8000...But it is still a Ramsey and it is still slow...research THAT! :flipoff2: :D

winch speed

I don't have a problem with overrunning my winch cable. I can match wheel speed with winch speed. :D :D
