job openings, anyone?

@marty79. My suggestion.....counseling.

You genuinely must be a decent person. Plenty have met you and you don't come off as a complete butt or a lunatic. I'm no doctor but the history and patterns you lay down in life seem to have a rooted cause.

Maybe a imbalance, maybe a past, maybe it's just the human you were created to be.

Maybe a person could help you help yourself with a little outside wisdom........and social media can't be the place.

well I kind of see what you're saying and I'm not by any means saying that I'm the victim it's just when I share an opinion it's always wrong no matter what and people jump down my throat but when everyone else vices their opinions whether it be wrong or right nobody else cares a jump down anyone else's throat so really we're all entitled to our views and opinions and different ways of life it just seems that my way of life my opinions and Views are always criticize and put down and told that I'm a douchebag and stupid and ghetto...basically judged by 2rigs I built and my views on life/work/morale that yes differs than others but does not make me wrong. And then when I mention wanting a real shop, again I'm judged on whether or not I could even run a business just because of what people see of How I build my rig and a few comments and Views that I have on life that again are different but they're not wrong because they're just my way of living there actually morally pretty good ways but most people of the world can't understand and that's ok.
I didn't get into why I think and know I could be successful at a real business because I've shared those before when I had my backyard Jeep shop in Boone and I've already been told and I know where people stand in that but it doesn't matter because what little backyard shop I had in Boone was actually very successful for being out in the middle of nowhere with no sign no nothing so I know for a fact I could be and am a very good businessman it's just people don't know that about me because well the only thing anyone on here knows about me is that I build ghetto control arms to get away with my own crap and I view life and work and finances differently than everyone. My "backyard Jeep" shop made average 2300 monthly (give or take a little but average) plus selling Jeep's so no matter how you look at it for being a shop out in the middle of nowhere hardly no advertisement except for what Craigslist ad I had so that means everyone I knew customers were all word-of-mouth that's doing pretty good for nobody who's out in the middle of nowhere that for being a guy who everyone thinks is such a douchebag I don't know you tell me that's pretty impressive.
And yes the most biggest reason why people don't think I'd be successful at a business is because I'm to compassion and care more about helping people then I do about making money but you know what that is a biblical way of running a business to me and I care more about helping people and getting them on the road even if that means taking money out of my own pocket because at the end of the day I live to serve God not serve man and to please God and not please man so I will run my business according to those values and that right there is true success (not according to the world of course, not according to business laws) but according to God!!

2,300/month.
That's good.

But as a legit business you pay taxes. So 30% off that 2,300.
Now you have $1,610/month. But you cant spend that you have to play employment insurance, insurance on your customers vehicles, etc etc etc.
So you are now working for AT BEST $1,000 month. /4 (weeks in a month) /5 (days in a week) /8(hours in a day)...you are working for $6.25/hour.

If your business makes $5k/month you are barely above poverty.

John I have 2 people who I trust dearly who say you are a good guy. So I take their word that you are.

Why I and many others bust your balls is because of that reply.
You claim "God is first:...thats a noble principle. And one I try to live by as well. But you cant pick and choose which of god's words to believe.
The bible is pretty clear in paying taxes and abiding by the laws of the land.
Romans 13:1-7, Matthew 22:17, Matthew 21:1...I could go on.

Now you mentioned you wanted to do it "right" this time. So Im pulling for you. But realize if you make $2,500 month...you arent even feeding yourself as a legit business owner.
And if you are undercutting prices and taking business away from legit business owners because you dont have those legitimate expenses, then you are stealing from them.

You hate hearing that. You always respond to it passionately, but those are the rules of this country and of the Gospel you claim to follow. This isnt an opinion you get to differ with, this is basic right and wrong.

First hand independent auto repair shop with 4 employees- $2300/ day is a slow day.

You have a bad assumption in your math, which is that he is working 8 hours per day. I'd say that's low based on the superhuman work ethic, which brings the hourly rate much lower than $6.25/hr. That further reinforces your argument.

1) That was entirely too long to read, and I pretty much stopped where I quoted
2) You're playing the victim again
3) In reference to #2, you apparently missed below

Ron, Ben and SHawn get in a tangential argument that is unrelated.

Ron, Ben and Shawn basically can't internet without jumping down each other's throat, whether for a grammatical error or difference in core beliefs. Hell, I can't even post I like the new Lincoln Navigator without Shawn telling me I'm wrong. And Ron can't post about industry pay standards without me telling him he's wrong. It's the internet, if you're this delicate here, maybe I'm glad you haven't contacted me for a job yet...I'd have you in tears daily.

Wait - don't you pay taxes AFTER accounting for expenses like insurance?
Not that it diminishes the point.
I just like to nitpick details.

Blah blah blah about not paying taxes. Not paying taxes is like screwing without a rubber. It's a lot of fun but sometimes it bites you in the ass... BAD! if he wants to roll the dice then let him. Just like everything else in life, some lessons are best learned the hard way.

skip the first 2 min but watch at least the 5min or so after, see where you fit in
