July 4th - Fireworks at the NC State Fairgrounds

Wife wants to do something different this year, so were gonna try the fireworks at the NC State Fairgrounds. Its Free... Bring your own chair, says no coolers but im bringing water... Says a band will be playing and the show starts at 9:30pm...

Just wondering if anyone else was going and wanted to meet up somewhere.. Not sure of our exact plans but figured I'd toss this out there..

I have been.. just fyi.. plan to stay seated atleats 45 min after show is over to get out of there

Me/friends/the family go up there almost every year. We sit out @ carter finley(sp) and just make sure we are ready to go when it ends. Don't be on the blue ridge side or you'll get slammed up.
