Rock Corps 4X4 and The Flats will be holding a Benefit ride for James Davis.
James has had severe health issues recently, most stemming from his Heart issues. Because of very week
heart functions, he begin to swell, this wasn't a drawn out thing, it happened very quickly. Because of the swelling he got a blister between his toes. From there, things went down hill fast. Infection set in, and he lost two toes. This did not take care of the infection, and it was discussed by several Doctors on what to do. Initially they were going to take half his foot, then it was above the ankle, and then below his knee. But because of the stress of the Anesthesia they wanted to do their best to take care of this in one shot. The anesthesia is very hard on the heart, for such a complicated surgery.
So as of now, he is re-cooperating from the leg amputation. Next is what this benefit is for. He needs a heart, and a kidney. He has to come up with $100,000.00 before he can have the surgery.
James was a athletic school teacher. He was forced to retire because of his health issues effective March of this year. His school has had a fund raiser, his brother n law has a golf tournament in May, and now, Rock Corps 4X4 and The Flats will be having one as well.
I know the 4X4 community will support this, this has been proven many times. But We have hopes on making this much bigger than just the wheeling community. I am trying to get different bands. As of now, We have a possible two swing bands, and one Heavy metal band. According to the poll I posted, it would be nice to get a country band, a blue grass band, and a classic rock type band. Instead of a raffle, we are going to have an auction. On that note, anything, and I do mean anything will be accepted from anyone, for this auction. No junk please! One Rock Corps 4X4 member is going to organize some wheeling games. Trophies will be awarded. WE do plan on this being big, REALLY big! So with more ideas to get people in the gate it may grow larger than Rock Corps can handle. So, participation of other clubs and individuals may be needed.

You should set up a PayPal for the people who can't make this event that would still like to help. On another note we will try to keep this date clear so we can attend.

Looks like Food will be a big part of this event.
As of now, traditional Burgers and or hotdogs
The big treat looks like we are going to have some Home slow cooked BBQ, with fixins including
Slaw, hushpuppies, and bun with different types of BBQ sauce!
A new item for the events, there is talk of Nacho's and cheese, and BBQ nachos with cheese, AND, some Jalapeno peppers!

Had a band commit today to play for this event. Black Demize, a local heavy metal band. BTW My oldest son plays Bass in this band!

Still looking for more bands, would love to fill the card with entertainment!

Also still looking for sponsors. It may be something for the auction, or a monetary donation to offset the food cost.

No contribution is too small!
