Just moved to Winston. Looking for some wheelin friends.

Moved to Winston from Michigan in January. Long time wheeler, never been much of a club guy, but looking to get involved with some active people / groups. Ive had many rigs, currently working on a TJ I got recently. Fairly mild, stock-ish drive line, small lift on 35s, no fenders (for now), quick disconnect sway bar links, plenty of body damage, adjustable control arms, belly up(not installed) rear corners (not installed), locker (not installed), blabla bla. I have been out to Uwharrie once since I moved here. Traveled down this way when I lived in Mi to wheel. I like trails and rocks, challenging terrain. Im not big into mud but it is fun. Are there any closer places to wheel than Uwharrie to Winston? What are the active clubs in this area? Does this site have room for another smart ass?

Ure is about as good as it gets keep an eye open for open invites to dpg and the flats. You'll meet a lot of people by going to open invites.

I've meet a lot just by hanging out at outpost for a few n grabbing food before heading up the trails ate uwharrie.

Welcome. Im over on country club road. The mud devils hosts open invites to their private park the devils playground. Its about halfway between you and uwharrie. Other than that yiu are looking at a bit of a drive. I used to be part of a group based outta michigan The Ranger Station founded back when Jim Oaks was around. Never made it up there to wheel but heard it was great.
