For the people that stayed around for the awards at the Flats ECORS event you already know.....for everyone else....
The Harlan ECORS event will send the 3 top finisher in the C class to the 2011 King of the Hammers event!!!

This is huge for the local racer wanting to make the big race, our Daytona 500, Indy 500, heck our superbowl... Check back for updates on dates in the ECORS section...........

thanks for posting that up snappy.n Thats great.

We all need to spread that word..get tons of C classers in there.
Don't worry I think there will be a HUGE number of C class guys there.... Look for updates soon on this one.....
This will be a great weekend for the A and B class guys also, just think about it you can race at the same place that the big guys do that get to go to the big show. Were you able to run Daytona the same day they qualified for the Daytona 500? I think not. It's the A and B class that need to show support for this event.

WELL I know where I will be in August :) Harlan here I come

August? Did this change?
Last discussion here (and on the website) was June, August was SC?

Yeah, they said Harlan will definitely have to move. They'd need more time to get it all squared away. I think the SC venue is going to move to June, but on a different weekend.

Supposed to have the final dates this week, I think.

SAF-T beat me to it...

Honestly taking the extra time to prepare for the Harlan event is a good idea. If there is a way to make the event run with little downtime between classes and a little more on schedule It would be better for an event of that importance. That's about the only gripe I've heard from people in the pits and spectator areas on a regular basis.

noooo don't change the date in june....

Already took the time off (planning a vacation the days before)

That or if it is going to get changed let us know ASAP...

I guess the C-Class race @ Harlan will have a mixture of people running that want to go to KOH, and some that don't? I for one CAN'T go to KOH, my rig is not up to their specs, as I am sure many others aren't. Why not run a C-Class for anyone wanting to compete in the ECORS series, then a separate race just for the people wanting to go to KOH? I am sure the KOH people would not mind that as it would get more vehicles out of the way.

I am guessing that the C class racers in Harlan will all run the same time wheather they are racing for KOH or not. I am also guessing that the entry fees will be all that seperates the KOH qualifiers from the other class C guys.

The date is definitely going to change according to Rob and Ron. The Spartanburg venue isn't available on the same June weekend that Harlan was supposed to be on.

We are verifying the dates and venues and will post something up soon. Our ultimate goal is to keep everything on the same date but to just switch venues with dates.

We will have the Class C race open to KOH and non KOH qualifier racers. If you are a class C racer but don't care about KOH, that is fine, the entry fee will not change. However, you'll be running the same course as the KOH qualifier competitors. Payouts will be based on if you are going for a KOH qualifier spot or just running the ECORS series. Class C non qualifer racers will have the same payout as in the past and the same entry fees. Qualifier positions will have a change in entry fees and the payouts will reflect this increase as well as getting a KOH 2011 starting position.

Once we work out all of the details, we will have an official announcement/press release
