KOH spy pics!

Safety first kids.

Got my restraint setup today so I can endo 12 times safely. It's similar to the Hans but with more left to right support as opposed to just front and back...and almost half the cost...

Although I might have to wrap some electrical tape around it to hide that obnoxious green.

They coulda saved a hundred more bucks if they'd just put it in a cardboard box instead of that shnazy case...

Brand is 'DefNder' by PRI safety.

Yeah...I needed a spot for the battery and the more weight forward the better. Now I can keep a 'carry-on' under my legs too.

Gotta put the axles back in tomorrow to go to Greensboro on Saturday...any of you fools going to be around?...I need some help so I don't scratch the paint.:huggy:

Jesus man, without a doubt this buggy is right on par with any of the west coast builds...quite a bit nicer than many of them.

Hopefully you'll be able to get some testing time in for the struts and such. What is the "deadline" for heading out to JV?

I realized earlier today that I forgot to make axle breathers for these bad boys...oh well...
I'll do that the first oil change...hopefully 2 spidertrax seals per side won't seap too much out...

stopped by billys to check this out this morning, nice looking buggy. Will you've thrown the big wallet at it so far go ahead and have it powder coated. Theres a guy right around the corner from billy's place that would probably do it for around $400. you wont regret it. just get a color you can match a rattle can to. :beer:
 
Stopped by on my way up the hill yesterday but no one was home. I'll try and get out there this week sometime. Glad its coming together.
 
Stopped by saturday as well. That thing is really looking sweet. I hope everything finished up well at Billys. Will it was good meeting you, let me know when you are ready to go on a shakedown run.

Don't get me wrong...I wanted to have already broken something a month ago...but after talking to a few various KOH personnel and vendors I'm doing better than alot of people in the race.


Anytime anyone wants to come help...you're always welcome...
People come out of the woodwork to offer help...few show up...

Then Sam shows up and I end up having to unbend pieces of tubing in a trailer hitch :shaking:....:flipoff2:


Only time I won't be working on a buggy this weekend/coming week is Friday afternoon/evening ) and Tuesday morning. (Gotta make a little money here and there.)

Might have a problem getting to DPG...but it's a good problem...

Ronnie at Rye Valley Gear out of Sugar Grove, VA is going to hook me up with drive shafts... so I'm not going to waste a day making my own craptastic shafts...


But I'm trying to make it...it'd still be a long shot...but I'm working on it.
