Quadzilla's customer service sucks and have numerous problems with tunes and the monitors. I've got the quad adrenaline with pulse and I don't like the problems I've had. Now the power is awesome. Granted I have an 01 but the problems have nothing to do with the year. Edge has a good product and customer service and its nice to have the guages on 1 monitor. Smarty is good but again need guages so that's an extra $400 unless you have them already. Oh and don't stack chips unless you have the mods to hold it (built tranny or good clutch, fuel system, guages, watch the rail pressure, ect). I've rode in a truck with all of them and the smarty is awesome and the bully dog with the crazy larry tune is right there with it. The edge and quad are nice cause you don't have to buy guages, they are with it.
I've had nothing but excellent customer service with Quad. Every time they upgraded the Xzillaraider they replaced mine with the newest version for free. The adrenaline has had some problems. And you can't go comparing a 2nd gen and a 3rd gen when it comes to programmers or chips. Edge works great on a 2nd gen but has lots of problems on a 3rd gen. Smarty doesn't do much for a 2nd gen but is just plain nasty on a 3rd gen. Bully dog will cause you lots of problems with the ecm. Smarty is by far the most reliable there is. Like you said, no gauges, but I to me it is worth having to spend the extra money on separate gauges knowing that the chip/programmer isn't going to cook my ecm or cause other problems.
With a stock auto your limit is going to be about 100 hp and still be reliable, unless you're running a Smarty, then only 60 hp is recommended. There is that much difference in the power it makes.
