Let's Talk Swamp-ass

Alright, I'll take this one on the chin. Thought the title of this thread would be good for click bait, but this has been a total disappointment, flop & royal cluster fawk.

Thought we cleared that up on the 2nd go-round but guess I missed the ball again...

There's no jock itch going on (fortunately or unfortunately, never experienced it in my life), no fumunda or fungal issues, no big ole man bush (this ain't '70s pornos with sideburns), no drawer issues (if there was this would never have ended up in the general chit chat section, I'd put it in the garage to save a little humility). I was just legit looking for a better pair of shorts for summertime and was thinking y'all might have some good recommendations to get away from the thick and heavy Carhartts. Perhaps the title threw some of y'all off and didn't read the OP but good lawd I've never seen so many squirrels in my life.

Delete thread, this is useless...I'll revert back to the recommendations I originally got from the misfit group of toys :shaking:

Wait, you thought we could read?

I wear cheap breathable shorts from Sam's Club. Their "Weatherproof" brand. $15 a pair, tan, grey and blue colors available. Breathable, cell pocket on the side and cheap.
I also suggest Anti Monkey Butt Powder too. It works great for your feet, taint or ball areas.

Boxers (or some breathable sliding shorts if I need extra support) and Izod khakis shorts. Cheap enough I don't care if I need to replace them weekly. As a matter of fact, I typically buy them 10-20 at a time, and that batch lasts 4-5 years. Usually they're good to go until I rip the inseam out.

I will have to 2nd the sams shorts, very comfortable imo

After years of shredding "the thick and heavy Carhartt" shorts within weeks (typically the crotch rips out) I went to their "Force" shorts... ripstop, more comfortable, "manta ray" crotch insert" (zero blow outs), and fairly tough. However, once you sweat A LOT (to the point of dripping), they stop "breathing" all together... and no little LH pocket for my EDC light.

Also looking for an alternative (not for "woke" reasons).... tired of paying $50+ for $10 shat made in Chiwan + a name that adds 150%...

And while there appears to be some kinda stigma for you, proudly (baby) powdering since 1983 (Cuba and thru the "1984 3rd world Asian shithole tour".. Okinawa, Philippines, Korea, ML Japan, Thailand, Guam, Tinian, & Saipan)

Lol, no stigma about it. I have powdered before back when I played ball...no shame whatsoever. I just don't feel the need now as I'm not taking 4 showers per day on wheeling trips (he knows who he is...love ya homie :flipoff2:).

I'm not to the point where I'm soaking my shorts in sweat by any stretch of the imagination or dripping sweat, I'm just try'na get some that are a bit more lightweight but will still hold up to "work hard, play hard"

Just ordered a pair of those shorts and pants. Looking for a cheap suitable replacement for the Columbias. Thanks.

Have you ever read a thread here?

Cornstarch? Y'all making ass gravy?

FWIW, I'll second or third or whatever the wrangler cargo shorts. They breathe well and aren't expensive.

Waiting on the homemade buttermilk recipes

Thrashed another set of Carhartt shorts (so new they weren't even faded) and a set of "linen" (no idea what they call them) pants... full disclosure were minimum 10 years old.

I'm done... picked up a set of Wrangler Riggs shorts and technician pants and thew in a set of Milwaukee pants.

Review coming as soon as they fawk up or another 10 years šŸ˜
