Lil Digger Truck - ECORS Stock Racer Build

Twisted Stitch seats showed up today....

I ordered the pro custom seat with the gray/carbon fiber colors and 3 inches taller than standard....

I really like this seat because with care, it will last and look brand new when I build a buggy someday.

We run this seat in 3 of our race cars and it holds you really tight and you don't move at all when your strapped in good. This will definably help me out with the fatigue factor this season, especially as rough as my ride is going to be and bangin gears and all.....

Finally got back from King of the Hammers.... What a BLAST, I always love doing that race!
Any way, when I got back I had this waiting on me! I bought these at Kurt Leduc's off road swap meet a couple years ago in Southern California.... 2 bucks a piece! I had to send my little brother on a wild goose chase to find them back home in a shed or something.... not real sure what I'm going to use all of them for yet but I'll find something....

So I guess the Nascar shop only uses this stuff for 1 or 2 races and then they are used elsewhere:bounce2:

I'll feel a lot better with a rev limiter....

So today I started mounting the transmission and planned on getting the engine mounts redone but i ended up making the belly tubes, then just drank beer and enjoyed my sunday by just looking at my pile and just thinking

So I picked up a set of Buckshot Mud Tires ($150) for wet races and I want to pick up some more of the TrXus tires.... I just love them, they are tough as nails and slick enough I can sling this little truck around in dry terrain

Oh are you talking bout the S shaped tube under the tranny? I guess I assumed you had a typo?
That was a typo, it should have read "So, what are the plans" I just didn't know if you planned on replacing the cab or ending up with more of a buggy in the end.

Nah it will end up more of a buggy type vehicle.... Anything and everything I do to it for ECORS will make it 10 times more fun when a cooler is straped on it full of Bud Light and we're doing stuff we're not supposed to do with it on a trail ride.... I have some unfinished business with "the ledge" at summer town.... AND it already won a best performance trophy at Dixie Run 2010, lol I'm to the point now I'm going to build it whether I race it or not.

That lil Digger truck was a pissed off machine! Now that I'm doing everything the right way I bet its going to break in half.... I've messed up that Japanese VooDoo bull shit now:shaking:

i really like that crossmember except for one thing.... how the hell are you going to get the t-case out if you need to? Im not being a smart ass by the way because i really do like the idea, i just think it would be nice to be able to take it out easily when you need to.

I will go back and install tube disconnects similar to what I did on this race car for the drop out belly and motor mounts.... But I really need to make sure everything is A ok before I finish it out....

So after trying to decide on about 100 different shocks I decided to run these.... Mainly because I've already got two of these 2.5 smooth body King shocks in an 8" inch stroke which will fit the front suspension....

I have to measure the rear travel and then I can order the rear set, shock fluid, Big ass box of shim stacks etc....

In a perfect world I would run custom made bypass shocks to my preference but that TOTALLY blows the budget for this pile....:shaking::shaking::shaking::shaking:
