So according to yourself… you’re a freedom fighter… protesting a sham election. That you left the country to avoid being arrested, on politically motivated charges. And you flee to a country, with a real life dictatorship, that regularly runs sham elections. This is the moment that Alanis Morrisette would pop up and sing, “And isn't it ironic? Don't you think? A little too ironic And yeah, I really do think!”

To take that a step farther. Now that he is out in the open, what do you think that dictator is going to do when folks start calling for Evan to be turned over? Pick him up and sell him to the highest bidder, obviously.
 
The defense asked for a mistrial with prejudice today. If it were granted he couldn’t be tried again but the media would spin it as an activist judge going raciss or wypipo keeping the folks in chains or some such.

It is embarrassing when a civil servant is prosecuting someone and questions positive behavior like puting out fires in a community regardless of where you are from.

I guess he would prefer a situation where people sit and watch in a commuter train while a woman is raped.

I was taught it was civic duty to step in to stop bad things and help rebuild afterwards.
