Mac's YJ build with tons and 42's.

Gonna cut and fit these but not weld yet. Can’t fully decide how I want it, so I’ll wait and tackle some more other items and return to these.
Neither? Do plate and dimples. Stronger and better looking IMO

Maybe. I don’t agree that plate is stronger than tube, even dimpled.

I am gonna wait until I finish the steering pump/resi and the fan shroud before any of that gets finalized. Also waiting for the above to do the tin work up top.

All of which impacts those tube locations, hence why I wait and will knock those out later….all while staring at them while checking other things off the list.

How's that work?
Works great. One my best friends growing up and I split the cost of it @ $179 circa 2002 from northern tool. We used it to build bumpers and roof racks out of sch 40 pipe.

Then around 2009, I took some flat plate scrap and converted to do my dimple dies. At the same time I added the inserts from angle iron and channel to be able to bend flat plate.

It really works wonderful for what it is and what I have in it.

Every time I use it, it humbles me bc of the history

All the stuff for dimples or plate work is removable to be able to use the pipe Kinker dies and rollers to still function as designed.

It’s been used countless times for bending or straightening random items like links or driveshafts in addition to sch40 pipe stuff.

At some point around 2011 I got the stuff to be able to punch 3/8 & 1/2” holes in plate but never finish making the setup to allow this.

Maybe one day I’ll spend another couple hours polishing up the extra stuff this tool can do……🤣
