I’ve always wanted a mini-x but can’t justify the expense. I have a local small engine shop that rents a Bobcat E32 for $250/day and even does $250/weekend (8 hours run time)
For that money, consider a Kubota in that size range with angle blade.
2008 kubota kx121-3 excavator super series angle blade

I saw several of those in the low $20k range with 3k hours when I was looking. The angle blade is worth it's weight in carbide in my opinion. Not bad! It's in pretty good shape to have 5000 hours on it. That's a 7 hour ride one way though.... Can't lie, it'd be cool to have another piece of orange equipment so it matched my tractor![]()
, that way I have a better excuse to buy a bigger one myself haha.
What's crazy about buying something that I want? I don't care if it pays for itself, that's not why I'm getting one.
How many guys on here have dedicated wheeling rigs that they can't drive every day and probably cost 40k or better?
Gotta have a thumb! Joysticks are nice, too![]()
I'm in the market for a skid steer now for my recent property purchase so I get it...but no way will I buy a $20k skid steer.

The best deal is always the first thing you see, as soon as you start looking.

I REALLY effed up last night and started looking at bush hog attachments, different buckets, and grinding heads....like a moth to a flame!
Yep, even on the same page of this thread. I wasn't trying to be lazy. Oh well.Yep, I posted the link a handful of posts back, but here it is again.

I've contemplated selling my skid steer and dozer and buying a rubber tracked hi Flo enclosed cab skid with a forestry mulcher. Why? Because it looks funJust don't ever look at the mulching heads for skid steers. Luckily mine is not a hi-flow machine so for me to buy a mulching head I would have to buy a new skid steer. $$$$$$
The bushhog work great though, one would be awesome on an excavator too.
