Mossy v2(022)

Old news, but @Tater came up weekend before last and we banged it out!

Armed with 7 ea.: ARP 7/16"-14 × 7/16"-20 × 2.5" studs (2.25"-2.375" would've been better), 7/16"-20 flange nuts and flatwashers... A pile of ancient taper taps & a home ground bottom tap, drill/tap guide, and a few other bits...

Started by giving the 6 holes a touch with a countersink before centering the guide with shank of a 3/8" bit, drilled 1/64" smaller that tap drill, tapped with plenty of PB, finish countersink, checked final fit and gave it ALL a brakeclean spritz & blow.

Studs slathered in red 271 and twisted in... had to punch the 7/16" holes another 64th before sliding it home, blue sticking the nuts.

Topped off the ATF, fired up easily like it wasn't 60+ days, and went both directions.. then shut it off and went on to 1000 other balls being juggled 🤫

I've vowed to leave it IN the shop until warmer/dryer to actually log a couple runs for my tuner...

Got busy, but this should catch us up since January 🙄
Post studding the trans, it was apparent the OE tranny mount was not happy, basically angular shenanigans ...

so whipped this up from some *rubber* (to match the rubber engine mounts) builder bushings, 1.75" DOM, and a (too long) hardened stud...

And thought it was "ready"...

Only to notice the 1.5"FOM tie-rod basically formed around and grating against the diff ...20260531_162512.jpg

I called @Ironman, had stock, but none short enough (requiring additional work) and immediately said call Julieene @ SummitMachine. 2 calls to spec/confirm and it was at my door!

Spent 3 long awesome days at Windrocks, fortunately with zero issues! Oh, carnage was present, but found others first 😬
