So true! Years ago I was at a plant that was having quality issues with welds on new pipe. They started making the welders sign their name beside each weld and the quality issues nearly vanished.

The sad truth is, there are not only several ways to build roads (with asphalt) to last much longer, several of these methods are even cheaper

I know a guy who invented a material that could be sprayed as the asphalt was laid and proved it tripled the life span. The government bought it and shelved it.

Do you know how often that happens? With cancer cures, water engines, etc?
