For drag racing, an inexperienced imbecile in an auto might be able to beat a good driver in a manual, and that's part of why I hate automatics. It is helping keep inept people competitive with those who have actual skill, and is contributing to the dumbing down of humanity.
Thats like complaining that a competent jockey can still lose to a newbie with daddy's money on Secretariat?
A competent driver in a auto at the drag strip in an identical machine, will more often beat a competent driver in the same machine that is a manual. Thats just facts.
You can have fun in a auto and in a manual. Some track situations make more sense with a auto, while some make more sense with a manual.
Debates like which is better Auto vs Manual are retarded. Its as stupid as Ford vs Dodge - both have issues. Both have some eras where they were good and others they were bad.
For the record I enjoy manual more than I do auto. However when I commute through a city and I want to juggle coffee and breakfast and texting nudes - a manual sucks donkey. I have a preference for one trans on a turbo, and a different preference on a supercharger. I can have fun in both - i can have even more fun in both if they are fast! I thoroughly enjoy a bench seat truck with a sexy lady sitting middle while i shift gears. I also equally enjoy a good auto so i can more safely have a lady get handsy...
Lol - I think bias in typical Auto vs Manual, Ford vs Dodge vs Chevy, 4WD vs AWD, Light Bars vs KC Lights - I think its all very silly. What works for some, honestly may not work well for others.
