Seems like society was moving away from paying with cash or check, but now I find myself paying with cash or check more often because of the fees. And my car insurance, which is on autopay, recently started using a service for that, so it’s the 3% cc fee plus a fee for that service! I’ll be going back to mailing in a check next time.

After Helene, our power bill doubled. It seems everyone I spoke with also enjoyed the same kind of experience. I threw the breaker on both the air handler and the outside unit and burned wood all winter. I smiled every day.
