Motor-sickle Racing (MX/SX, GNCC, MotoGP, Hard Enduro, SBK, etc)

I should have bought a lottery ticket that day, lol.

Deegan has no competition in the 250 class. ALL of the top riders from both East and West started in the top 5 and Deegan started in 10th.

Deegan's penalty was complete BS. He ran over one track marker.

Hunter is looking fantastic.

WTF happened to Tomac? He was up there with the leaders at the start of the race and dropped back 30 seconds! I don't think I have ever seen that from him before.

Yeah, Deegan is on top of his game. The only thing the AMA is consistent about with penalties is being inconsistent.

Tomac didn't drop back, Hunter and Kenny absolutely walked away from everyone else. Webb nearly got lapped, and was within 15 seconds of Tomac. I was super impressed by Roczen staying with Hunter the whole time.

Typical Tomac when he isn’t feeling it he won’t risk it at all.

But also Hunter and Ken put on a damn clinic

And it can change that fast!

I can't believe Hunter wasn't injured in that crash. That was a hard hit.

Roczen is looking super fast and strong lately. I would love to see him win this SX title!

Something has to be wrong with Tomac. He must either be really sick or injured. He hasn't looked like himself the past two races.

Tomac went from down 9 to up by 4!
Roczen went from down 31 to down 14

Points tightening up!

I was just thinking last week that none of the top 450 guys have had a DNF/No points night yet. 2 weeks ago Roczen was out of it. A week ago Webb was 34 points down or whatever and no chance. Now Roczen is within striking distance and Webb is basically a race away. It ain't over til its over.

Originally I wasn’t going to Coker with how busy we have been, but the fomo kicked in about 8pm Saturday night when a buddy asked if I wanted to go watch. I wasn’t going to drive 3 hours each way just to watch considering I’ve only missed one Camp Coker since the series started coming to this venue. Enter the 2 hour fast paced trail ride. 600 riders in the AM race and a fat redneck that prepped bike and gear 14 hours before the race. Good race considering I have not ridden since this one last year. Life and adulting got in the way.

Shit start as always, knowing the track helped and I quickly worked into the top 10 in class knowing most passing needed to happen before the 4 where it ducks into 4 miles of handlebar width singletrack and passing in there is sketchy. Finished lap 1 in 6th, picked off 5th, smashed my left foot on a stump in the middle of lap 2, couldn’t feel the peg for about 3 miles, feeling came back/adrenaline kicked in. Cruised into lap 3 and got the white flag. Ended up 4th after the official results came in. Whoever was listed in 1st got recorded as a dnf once things were official. Took a visit to the SOS Med tent to see Dr Tanner after the race. Had to get my pinkie toe sewn up and he did an X ray for good measure. No broken toes, just very mangled and split open from the pressure of hitting the stump. Gaerne SG12’s did their job.

It was so dusty and blown out for the pro race I didn’t take any pictures. You couldn’t see a damn thing. Had a good chat with Stu Baylor in the med tent before he went out and I was getting stitched up. Gutted that he had another mechanical with half a lap to go. That really fubar’d his championship standings. As dusty as it was, I don’t think he did a filter swap and that might have gotten the best of the Kawi.

I really need to go ride an amateur fatguy class. I'm sure I'd be in the bottom third, but I bet I'd have a good time.

Do they have a girlbike class for my CRF230? I don't think the Alta has the range for a full race. Hell I probably don't either!

Man my buddy Jeremy races Senior B on a 230, granted it’s a well worked over 230 but he hurts feelings on that little sucker. Don’t count it out.
