What kind of bikes do you all ride?

Im going to be getting my first bike in about 3 weeks. Im not getting it because of fuel prices, but it certainly will be convenient.

I like hogs and ricers both, but i'm getting a bike for transportation, so i don't want either. Im getting a Ducati Monster.

Who else rides what?:wheel::wheel::wheel:

Suzuki bandit 1200, naked with buell lights and fly screen, and just picked up a KLR 650 to try the dual sport world with.

2003 Kawasaki ZX-9, Honda 750 ACE, Suzuki Savage 650LS, and a 1948 Harley if I just thad the $$ to restore it.

06' GSXR 600 w/ about everything I can do to it besides engine work... it's amazing you can beat on this thing in the mountains for hours at 10K+ RPMs and still get 40mpg...

The way it's going.. i'll probably start commuting on it some but for now it's just an evening/weekend toy...

'04 Yamaha R1:wheel::wheel:

'00 suzuki gs500 for city commuting, 79 gs650 for weekend fun, chinese Shineray 200 dual sport, yamaha xt225 dual sport (piece of junk yamaha motor is horrible)

I want a GSXR so bad but just don't have the money for one right now

I ride a Harley FLHTCUI "Electra Glide Ultra Classic" for the long rides and my chopped up 80" 1982 Shovelhead Wide Glide fxwg is the bar-bike and my 1948 Panhead when I am feeling nostalgic.

ive had my fair share of fassst bikes like my gsxr100 with NOS and I am lucky to still be alive, for now its cruisers for me.

Suzuki m109R, 250 tire, pipes, power commander, intakes, timing box. Puts 135 hp at the rear tire. Pretty fast cruiser.

Its my commuter and Blue Ridge Parkway bike. Loving it!

Whats a good first timer bike? I really dont care to go all that fast, i like and can afford croctch rockets so i will stay in that market. So a 600 and 750 will do? it would just be to zip up and down the highway on.

ducati monster, one of the smaller models (like a 695 or 620)

The Ducati monster is one of the lowest maintenance bikes on the road, its air-cooled too so its not considered a sportsbike. Many of them use a dry clutch which sounds funny but is even less to go wrong. They are "naked bikes" which means they are the essentials, without all the unnecessary parts you will find on a ricer. just a frame, with seat, tank, tail, engine, and front fork bolted on.

I bought a 250 Ninja when I was 15 to learn how to ride on. I don't think I would take it over that to have a commuter now. The urge to be "stupid" is too great for me. I've raced quads at a low level for years and ALOT of my family have raced at professional rate and have recked/totalled practicalley every sport/street bike ever made. Leathers and proctective gear have NEVER been over rated.
