my tool box consists of a check book and a pen. Even if he is asshat that is funny.

The only way to settle this is showdown style line the rigs up head to head and ram them into each other. I got winner.

If there was any confusion in this post as to my feelings towards Andy, they aren't bad. I only mentioned his name as the person who has done a large part of the work to beat40's rig...not beast himself. I know Andy realizes a limiting strap isn't a band-aid as he does have a clue about wtf he's doing.

I saw your rig when I was up at DPG with some of the guys from the TB one weekend, looks like it works well for ya and everybody has kinks to work out.

Yeah Andy doesn't tell me much about the rig. In fact a lot of the messed up configurations you've seen on my rig were my design, that I made Andy do and a lot of them didn't work. Like when I had the cable ran through my spring, so I could drop it 10" from the bucket and guide it back in. Andy assisted me in the design but it was my idea. It was also my idea to then retain the coils top and bottom (read it on pirate) and that worked way better then I expected. I've spent 12+ hour days working on my rig with Andy and I always come out looking like a coal miner and he just has dirt on his hands, I guess thats the difference between a Noob and a pro.

As for the limiting strap you are taking it out of context. They can be used for a number of different things but in the case of the CJ it is a bandaid. His roll center is out of wack because of his panhard bar design. But you guys are right, its his rig, if a limiting strap is his solution then thats what he should do.

Nah I'm not an Ass...well maybe from time to time on the net but that doesn't really count. My rig is just never together long enough to do any real trail riding. I can't seem to go one trail ride without something breaking and I have an ass load of coin in my rig.

Someday we'll all be sitting around a camp fire at Crawford's sharing a brew and a few stories. I'll buy. :beer: :beer: :beer:
 
Andy sorry if i offended you or your shop in bringing up your name. That is not what i meant to do. maybe when you are at the plaground some time you can give me some ideas on the rear.

Damn I thought this was a thread about the Muddevils doing something. Hell that was so many pages ago I forgot what they did now .... Oh yea they went wheeling and videoed it thats right.


I am going wheeling next Saturday and was going to post another video on here but I am not to sure about posting it now. Dont want to start a riot. :lol:
