I got this about 3 mo. ago and have really been happy with it! It has a TBI 350 V-8 auto trans and COLD A/C not sure on the lift but running 38" swampers (NO body lift!) runs Great and tows the sami on my 20' trailer great and the part I really LIKE is it gets good fuel mileage for a big Burb towing--!Not sure what the #'s are but towed the Sami to Uwharrie and back to Flying J in Burlington on 1 tank of gas!!!!!!!!I had another Burb and made the same trip and it took 3 tanks of gas!!! Both were 30+/- Gal. tanks! Hope to get it repainted and a few int. up grades and also camp in it when wheeling beats a TENT any day!

Very nice clean suburban I don't see many in that good of shape. How do the TSL's do towing. I am guessing they are load rated. Does it have plenty of power with tires to pull truck/trailer at highway speeds. I have a 86 K20 I bought a few months ago I am getting ready to start fixing up as soon as I get tranny and t-case back. It has 35's now but will fit 38's and looks much better with 38's under it but was unsure of how it would pull/act with a truck and trailer behind it.

Very nice i always liked that body style.:driver:

Good looking truck. i camp in the back of the cruiser....your right, so much nicer not to have to pull down a tent in the morning!

Tows GREAT with the Sami and a 20' trailer that is tong heavy streached the trailer 4' have not moved tha axles YET! I only towed with it to Uwharrie 1 time but ran down the raod 70 + no problem not the fastest take off but OK ! I had a 01' HD and the Burb pulls as good as it did! I want some 35" tires the 38's rub a little when you turn and hit a little bump! TINT was removed and is gonna be replaced along with some new Paint, has some rust on the lower pannel and behind the rear door but good for that year I think!:driver:

After a quick tune up and some exhaust work, your "old" burb is pulling down 10-12mpg towing...

New one looks nice.

x3 on tint the windows. It will keep the inside a little cooler, give you a little privacy while camping and it will keep some prying eyes off of the items you have inside. Oh and it will make the over all look of the 'Burb' much better.

Ya! was Tinted but looked like:poop: so I removed it planning on re-tint 5% side door/side glass 35% rear door and front doors!
Glad to hear the old bus is doing good for ya!
thanks,

OK I have been doing some repair work to the Burb and have only had MORE trouble with rebuilt parts any help! I have replaced the PS gear box and it leaked at the shaft got another one it is also leaking at shaft,I also replaced the ps PUMP and put in a cooler and there seems to be a DEAD spot in the steering when not on the gas a little it is like the ps pump is not working, give it a little gas and works fine I thought it might be air in the line bleed it two or three times still the same way! do you all think I might have a BAD ps pump? Why is the ps box leaking at the shaft maybe air in line can't get out except at shaft? I do not drive this except to tow with I am headed to Zuwharrie in three weeks and need this fixed any ideas on what I need to do or someone that you know that might could get this straight!
Still no tint and the P side door glass got broken out need it replaced also! also the cooler I put on is lower than the PS box and pump could this cause air to get traped? any ideas would be great need this fixed SOON! The ps box came from carquest and pump came from A zone anyone have trouble with these from these companys?
Thanks,
Bradley C

Nice rig Bradley. You will like camping in it. Certainly beats a tent. No suggestions on teh steering stuff. but, it looks good!

Any A Zone stuf is hit or miss. I dont think the cooler being lower than the box should be a problem. Nice Burb.........oh yeah tint the windows

OK got the "rear" windows tinted! Also got a fiberglass hood w/scoop getting there but a little slow!

Lose those chrome steps unless you need them for the wifey or something.

Nice Burb, love that body style.
Yeah, I'm not real fond of the chrome step. The single steps would look better if you need them. Just my opinion.

Trading the Burb for a 1/2 ton DODGE x cab 4X4 tommorow! I will start another post with pics later of the new (96) tow rig!
Thanks,
Bradley C

Wasn't that burb listed for sale on here? Or was it craigslist? I remember seeing it posted somewhere.

Nevermind, after looking at the dates I see that it was you that had it listed.
