My new go-faster buggy

At some point people are going to start thinking it's YOU with the problem...oh wait...
Everyone knows he can't fit Marky and another one in there at the same time....:flipoff2:

yea yea... I found an atlas with 32 spline input though and already have 4l80e connections coming out of ecu.....

its still a hard decision...It will only cost me like 800 bucks for a new atlas and low mile 4l80e if i sell my current setup.

Another point is i dont want to shift...:flipoff2:

sorry sam...hijack off.....

Don't have any really. Got a winch mount and the bump stops up front finalized but the holidays threw off my steel shipment until tomorrow afternoon.

Fixed the bump stop issue up front Sambo. You can use your originals now.

you can go 700 with a TV delete without mvb...

I think i am going to go manual.....It is still better than a clutch.

Crappy pic time...real camera tomorrow...

Full bumpish...

The links are as short as they go and the brackets on this axle aren't in the right spot...it doesn't really hang out that far in the back...

By the time you make chassis side lower link mounts that aren't bent up and cracking at the end of the season it seems like you have to use about 20 lbs of plate. We'll try these guys out and see how they hold up. Stan the man at Branik Motorsports whittled these guys out for me. (Yeah yeah, there's a Bridgeport in the background...it needs a bit more work to be operational...:flipoff2:)

Couple mild gussets off the back side and let 'em ride...

So I made the decesion for you tonight Sam. It's now a right hand drive vehicle.
Sam's drivetrain is for passenger drop orientation. When packaging for go fast up travel in a front engine car this is quite annoying if you're trying to make it comfortable and roomy on the traditional 'driver's side'.

Won't this feel odd and be more annoying than a cramped footwell?
I say no. After driving a mid engine moon buggy at a 10 degree angle off of straight I can tell you that you get used to it in very little time. After 5 minutes in that car you didn't even notice it. I see switching seats as far less to get oriented to than being cocked sideways to the direction of travel.

All the cars I've built, and will build, have a one piece front driveline. No jackshaft vibe crap here. And yes, it uses every bit of the shock travel.

And me and the Grateful Dead made an engine skid tonight too.

And I still forgot the real camera.

Just saw this...

Sammy Wingnut himself is responsible for that. I didn't notch that junk.:flipoff2:

You guys all change buggies like your a bunch of chicks changing outfits, If I wasn't draining every bit of money I ever get a hold of helping put on events maybe I could be as cool as ya'll and change mud/pullin Mega Trucks just as often :shaking::flipoff2:

Looks def cool thou, I'll be anxious to see it in action, don't forget the 250 horse Spray for the Freestyle Rock Crawl Comps :driver:

I think I got talked into the last freestyle rock comp. Kinda put a hurting on my buggy at DPG that day.

looks like your already using that torchmate. Let me know how it is. Buggy looking good.

Hey Will, is it going to be as tight as your last one?:flipoff2:

I addition to the ones on the sides of the block in the factory location we added some rear mounts as well.

Looking good Sam!

Let me know when your're ready for shafts.

Radiator going in the front, or behind the headrests above the fuel cell?

I've never seen a motor supported (or restrained) by the heads before.
If that is a permanent solution I'll be interested to see how it holds up.

Yea, Like Jim said, we are also using motor mounts. This just integrates the motor into the chassis and adds strength. Here is a shot of the motor mounts
