My Rant

Washing your offroad rigs at a pay carwash on any sort of remotely regular, non-"emergency*" basis: FAIL

Leaving a mess there for anybody else to clean up: MEGA FAIL

Pathetically defending it on the basis of limited funds: EPIC FAIL. You're a douchebag. Repent and try again.

*I can't even imagine what could constitute such an emergency.

...I just back from the pressure washer and I spent an extra $0.50 cleaning up the cement.

Must be nice to "have the extra $$"!

Your rant did some good. I just back from the pressure washer and I spent an extra $0.50 cleaning up the cement.

Damn :huggy:...you bringing the BLING!

Whachyou do homie I need sum o dat, you rolling fat knots...

I took my Jeep to a car wash after a day playing in the mud one day. The owner was there and as I drove up, he came walking up to me. Before he said a word I told him I was going to clean any mess I left and I would make sure the bay looked better than before I pulled in. He then asked me if I had been there before and I said yes I had. He asked how long ago and I gave him an estimate on a time line. He then thanked me. Why did he thank me? He had been watching the camera tapes and had seen me in there before and saw me clean up the mess I made cleaning my Jeep.

Who wipes your a$$ after you take a crap? Is that someone else job too?

No matter what... if you make the mess... clean it up!! No matter where it is! Would you leave your trash all over the campsite because "it's the park rangers job" to clean up after you?

I spent $15 washing the tow rig and trail rig after Harlan a few weeks ago.. Big Perm got mud EVERYWHERE, and with the water restrictions that were in place, I didn't want to risk the fine by washing it at home. (It just dawned on me I could have gone around behind the house where it wouldn't be seen), but anyway, I coughed up the extra $1.00 to clean up the bay..

you know what i was just thinking???

i havent heard from ricky lately on here

only reason i said not having enough money is because the cash usually gets spent on the gas to go wheel, and cleanup time is all the extra change I can find, which usually wasn't enough. BUT that was a while ago, now with the pressure washer at my friends its free.....and yes, I do leave the mud wherever it falls off in his driveway, because it is a gravel/dirt driveway and he and his family don't care.

Agreed. But...

This thread is retarded... if you don't like what you see go to another car wash. If you drive a 4wheeldrive and feel the need to wash at a rape-in-the-butt wash then go for it. Being in college, NO, I can't afford to wash my vehicle at one of those places and if I go to one it's because I'm overheating on the way home and want to spray my radiator out. No I would not spend .50 more to clean the concrete up. Vehicle payments, costs of living, and school payments are where I place my priorities.

This is like saying don't drive a car because exhaust fumes will come out. God forbid you'd wash a vehicle and have mud fall off. There are better things to lose sleep over.

Bottom line... they are in business because people's dirt falls off their vehicles there. Most of these places recycle their water and pay minimal costs to replace the soap they order in bulk on occasion to keep the place running. They don't pay anyone for labor because the person that owns the vehicle does it all. They make a huge profit for such a simple business, many are not concerned about mud and if they are they have already voiced it (with a sign).

Side note: I'm not in a frat and will never pay to join one because I don't have extra cash to throw around and I drive TJ :D!

Ohhh, right. So just to be clear, you have enough money to pay for a 2006 Rubicon and modify it, but not enough to spend $1 to clean up your mess for the next person. I guess you don't flush in a public restroom, either. :shaking:

Ya know, life doesn't end when the warranty runs out.. You could drive something a little older and have LOTS of money left over...

Let's see here... college boy driving a modded '06 Rubi... Hmmm... sounds like some Mommy and Daddy funding going on there? Yet he can't spend and extra buck to wash a bay after washing his poor wittle Jeep...

And I bet he does not wash his own clothes either because that costs money too and it's not his fault the clothes don't stay clean... They should do that on their own!

I bet he also leaves his tray on the table after eating in the cafeteria or the food court because he is not the one who put the food on the tray to begin with...

Clean the sink after shaving? Hell no... not his sink... not his problem. (Oh wait... that assumes he's old enough and mature enough to shave...)

Anyone defending the mess in the pics that started this thread... I would hate to go to your houses/dorm room... I have visions of pig pens in mind.

Didn't your momma teach you to clean up after yourselves?

Here's an idea college boy... buy one less beer on Friday night and you'll have $3 extra bucks to wash the friggin bay.

LOL are you serious? You drive a 06 rubi but can't afford 50 cents? You can't afford to wash your jeep at a pay-n-wash? You can afford to wheel, buy a new rubi, buy parts for it.......but you wouldn't spend 50 cents to clean up a mess you made. Jesus man I think the best part of you ran down your mommas leg. I hope someone trashes your stuff and tells you its not their problem. Retards! Maybe you should eat moms peach alil better next time and she'll throw you an extra 50 cents on top of the rubi payment. BTW my 2 year old cleans up his toys at the end of the night. Isn't it sad my 2 year old acts more like an adult than you do?

I leave'm like I found them or better.....the jerk-offs that leave them trashed are just that, jerk-offs.

Wipe the little baby monkee's ass enough, it'll want you to peel/feed its bananna to it, too.

Lets see...

Being in college, got that one down.

Washing the car at "one of those places", do that all the time.

Pay the extra .50 cents to wash the ground, yes sir.

In a Frat, as a matter of fact I am...

and I pay for it all my self.

Get a job and stop bitching about how you cant pay for .50 cents extra to clean up after yourself.

The thing that worries me is these kids act like this at a simple carwash....How do they leave the trails that they are riding on & treat the people around these small towns where we can wheel. Come on guys...think dammit think...we are doomed with that attitude

No matter how much voice and money we raise, we are closing our self down from going riding:poop:

jeepmkcomin & dirtysouth, quit bitching about not having any money,i bet you will or have coughed up the 40.00 to drive on the beach, and ya'll are probably the same asswipes that leave their trash there too,ya'll are the reason people talk shit about wilmington

x2 !

Not wanting to spend the extra dollar to wash your bay is assenine.

tusk, just look around wilmington for the stock 06 rubi with the winch and synthetic rope, when you find it, dump the three nearest trashcans in/on it. Let the little fawker clean up after someone else for a change.

I'm one of the people that always cleans up trash left on the beach and trail that was left by others. But beach pollution and dirt at a carwash are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS! You can't compare trash and pollution with dirt that fell off a truck and didn't all make it down the drain at once. when the next person uses it, their water and dirt runoff will help get the last of the mud left behind washed down the drain.

Do that, i dare you. you fuck with someone else's rig you better be able to handle what happens to you. I don't think that can of worms needs to be opened

How is trashing your jeep different than trashing my carwash? Either is easily cleaned up, and I'm sure the carwash is worth alot more money, not counting the lost revenue from people not using a bay bacause they don't want mud off the floor inside their car.
