N.O. Limit Offroad Rock Crawl and Mud Bog 7-26-08

If you want more participants you got to offer more prize money. More participants means more spectators. A dedicated web site would not hurt.

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the event. We are planning on having another one sometime in August. We are probably looking at August 23rd, but I will post the final date with a schedule when all is arranged. I do know that the schedule will work the same way...Gates open at 8:00, registration from 10-12, Pre-race meeting at 12:30 and start racing at 1:00. We will make sure that this information is clear when we advertise so that people are not upset if they have to wait on the race to actually start.
What type of extra's could we do to use up some time between events and prior to the race starting? We have the Drag Strip that we could use for races and pulls. Any other suggestions?
As far as a safer route for people walking from the parking lot to the event, for future events, the gate in the parking lot could be closed to force spectators to walk up the drive way into where the event is being held.
We do plan on getting a designated spot on our website about upcoming events for Uwharrie Adventures to let everyone know what is up and coming.
We would like to get a group of you guys to come out and help us mark off a track on the property behind the Rock pile and drag strip for 4x4's and ATV's to race on. We want you all to tell us what you want and we will build it the best we can. The first step is just getting a group of you here to walk it and mark it where you want it to be and how you would like to see it laid out. Once that is done, we can get the dozer to work and push it out and really have some fun. We want it to be laid out so that spectators can easily view the race going on.
I promise we are working on making things better for everyone who enjoys the sport/hobby and eventually we will have bleachers and lighting up to make people more comfortable and be able to hold evening and night events.
Pass the word out to everyone you know and help us build a unique and wonderful place to offer spectators and participants.
