N.O. Limit Offroad Rock Crawl and Mud Bog 7-26-08

There will be a mandatory TECH Inspection prior to race. Seat belts, Roll cage, and helmets will be the primary reason for inspection. We will have a fire extinguisher on hand with the judges. Tech and registration will start on Friday the 25th at 8:00am, and will continue until 9:00am on Saturday the 26th. We will hold a drivers meeting at 9:00am on saturday.

The pit is working awesome!! It's soupy, straight, no jagged walls, and 36 feet wide. I tried out mine on fri., and I think Rick tried his on sat. We're hoping to have a real good turnout on the 26th.

calling for rain on sat........

It says isolated thunderstorms . . . its like that every other day, if a lil chance of a 10 min or so afternoon thunderstorm scares you then maybe you need bigger tires/engine ;):flipoff2::driver:

More throttle.

Mud pit is great! Woulda took some pics, but it got dark on us. My 31" tire Bronco made it halfway through the pit!! It's gonna be real tough to get through on a small tire!!

so to compete in the crawl a roll cage is mandatory???

Roll cages are mandatory. I didn't say how extravagant they had to be. If you have a factory hard top that will be sufficient for the 35" and smaller class. Other than that you are going to want something in the variety of a six point cage or more. We will determine that at tech inspection.

^ just called the stables and was told registration is a 10-12 on the 26th? i would like to get some clear info. your post say drivers meeting at 9 and also tech inspection and registration can be done on the 25th/. some clear info would be great thanks!

I just talked to Jackie (poker) and she said she's been told different things by a few people. She's going to go around and ask everyone exactly what times all the meetings/registrations/race events are going to be held and post up as soon as she can to get this thing straightened out. If I hear anything before she posts up, I will post.

They really should have posted this earlier. I'm not happy that the schedule changed the day before the event. I was there as a spectator hours before anything started. The first mud bogger didn't go until almost 1:00, about 5 hours later than the email they sent said it would start.

I really want these events to go well but there would be riots if a concert or sports events was run like this. :shaking: Next time post the schedule, stick to it, and keep things moving along quickly.

I was tempted not to post this feedback at all. I only want the best for these events and I'd like to compete in the rock portion at some point. However, if somebody doesn't say this the event will die anyway. You can't tell people to get there at 8 and start 5 hours later and you can't run 1 truck every 15 to 20 minutes.

You are absolutely correct! I am so sorry for the confusion and I guarentee that the next event we have will be more organized for racers. This is a learning experience for us and we rely on you guys to tell and show us what needs to change. Same goes for the spectators. Tell us what you want and we will try and work it in.
We are very pleased with the way the event went and only see it getting bigger and better for everyone. Please do not hesitate to post your comments, good or bad.
Thanks for the great turn out and a fun day for everyone!
