On I-85 North/I40 East (near Mebane/Efland/truck weigh station) we had to drive through that crap this morning! We saw like 30 vehicles pulled over with flats. I did not have a flat tire when I got to work, and I just went out to check my tires again - all at 32 psi. (Suburban, 33-inch ATs)
We were there between 7:45 and 8:15AM. I couldn't beleive the number of vehicles we saw with flats. Cars, trucks, pickups pulling trailers, and semi trucks/trailers.
I hope they find the guy that spilled the nails!!!
Hope they got them all cleaned up, or else there will be more flats over the next few days. How would they clean them all up? Magnets? Street sweepers? Or just assume enough vehicles travel I-40 that all the nails have been "found" by now?
