It's not much, but I got everybody a few presents:
  • You can now change your own username (up to 5x).
  • You can edit the titles of your own threads. (Click to edit the first post in the thread, then hit the 'more options' button.)
  • You can add a poll to your thread after the fact. (Same instructions as above)
It also now keeps track of whether or not your post has been edited. So no more shenanigans on that front.

Thank you!

Keep up the good work.

Can you bring back people's post count under avatars?

We've never had post counts listed under the avatars...? I can turn them on if people want to see them, though.

Apparently he's getting sick of processing all the requests.

Nah, I just installed a suite of tools that had some more important stuff in it, and this little feature came along for the ride. I figured that it might come in handy. If you do decide to change your username, it would probably be a good idea to make a temporary note in your signature or something.

Oh, and be aware that when you do change your username, it might take 10-30 seconds to process. I know it takes a little while when I do it on the back end. There's a lot of data for it to churn through to pick up the change everywhere.

We use to have post counts on the old system didn't we?

No. I think they're actually easier to find now with the new software. In the old system, they were completely hidden.

I'm OK w/o it :D

If I change my username can some else then take it?

It keeps a log of your previous names, but I don't think it holds them for you indefinitely.
