Winner must be a contributing member b/c if your not, your well.....

Examples: My vote may be chuckwhut. I mean has anybody read his comments, priceless he rules this bored with a sarcastic iron fist. And brightens my day everytime I read a comment.

Rockmafia- has had some sweet builds this year- Bigwoody's buggy, Pheery's buggy among others, great contributer to the 4wheel community.

Bigwoody- Good tech, huge 4wheeler, sweet buggy and some great sarcastic commentary.

Rich- Great tech, FJ build w/ rocks looks sweet.

Blkvoodo- great guy always lending a hand, always has great tech info and is a moderator.

Yager- Always has good Tech, the Uhual build ,all though short, like most of his adventures was awesome, also a moderator.

You don't have to choose any of these people but here are some that stand out to me.

Most votes wins.

I would second those nominations and I personally would vote for chuck. I always laugh at his stuff
I also think your name should be added for the great tech and the selflessness (???Im tired????) you demonstrate by doing this right here.

Way to go Chase!

My vote would be for CYJKrawler. John is a hell of a guy. Humble, selfless, fun to wheel with, easy to talk to, pushes 4wheeling forward, willing to help other people, on top of land use issues, awesome writeups, and has done an incredible job with his rig with very little budget.

I vote me :flipoff2: for my one time zinger..

OK, since you're being nice and everybody is giving you a hard time I"ll help. The reason the shifter won't shift is because your muffler bearings are screwed up. A good way to check this is to let the jeep sit and idle, IN NEUTRAL e-brake engaged, for a good 45 mins to a hour, reving it to around 3500 rpms every so often. Then go grab the muffler. If its hot, your muffler bearings aren't allowing the exhaust to roll out as it should and its causing to much back pressure and not letting the tranny release the t-case to shift.
Just order a couple of these http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?mai..._id=10&zenid=060e49bf6b2d26d339e8fd4d65edecab and then send the whole shabangbang to Jeepinmatt, including the title so he can fix it for free.
I feel kinda bad for being a dick, one day we should get together and I'll buy you some wheat grass shots and we can talk about how awesome it would be to have Hillary win in '08.

Actually, I second Joel for CYJKrawler, Good write-ups. And has saved my butt a time or two

X3 on CYJKrawler, for the same reasons mentioned.
Although many on here would be just as deserving.

EDIT: I type to slow

I second Joel's vote for John. I probably wouldn't be typing this right now if it wasn't for him. He's helped me too many times to count, alot of times when I know he's had better things to do! His advice has been priceless to me, and he is always thinking outside of the box to save a buck or two :). He is creative fabricator and in my book is "the" guy to have around, regardless of the task.

I've gotten to know John really well these past few years. Outside of 4wheeling he's a great friend, good christian, and as selfless as they come. Many more good things to say....You've got my vote bud!

Lol I know, I was watching tv not concentrating on what I was typing. You guys jumped in line too soon.

add a vote for john (CYJKrawler) i like his commentaries and pictures

he has offered (and ive taken) an empty seat in his rig at events, and just been an all around cool guy to hang around when i see him wheeling

...........Tim Dog? :shaking:..Cardudenc?.:shaking:.........

But Seriously, I agree with all the John voters, as john is a great person and a great asset to this forum and CTB.
as many of his great writeups have graced the pages of our newsletter.I cant say enough about John or many others on here.
However, my vote has to go to upnover(Chip P.)
I hope at least some will agree that his presence on this forum
has been many things. Informative tech, funny posts, serious stories, personal info and lots of other stuff. If you read a
flame thread, chip doesnt really bash anyone and probably rarely even posts in a bash thread. Chip is a great friend of mine. If you know the man, chances are, he is a great friend of yours too!
From monthly trail rides to Grand openings, to big events like Dixie Run , Chip always seems to be there smiling.
We are talking about a man who had a heart attack and kept wheeling.(I never said he was the smartest dude)
We heard from him before his surgery, his wife Leslie, during it, and Chip again immediatly following surgery. Then lo and behold
he shows us his post-op pics...and nipples lol !

So, who would I nominate for NC4X4's Man of the year?

The man with the most DEDICATION to NC4X4!

Mr. UPNOVER himself...CHIP P.

i'd have to say jeff b. out of everyone i've encountered on this board, he has been the most helpful person. he's actually now a good friend. i have called on him countless times and he has helped me fix broken parts, pulled me out when i was stuck far away, and came and picked up my xj from uwharrie after i broke my rear axle. not to mention countless friends i've referred to him.

#2, chip. upnover. hope you're doing well chip

chase this is really cool. i would probably vote for you but i don't think you are really gonna benefit from giving yourself a free gear install.

never thought i'd see my name in there though. that's cool.

there are tons of great guys on this board.
SSWaters comes to mind. scott is always smiling and willing to help anyone.
but i think i would like to cast my vote for....

(judge me if you must nc4x4)

ricky. thats right, i said it.

that kid is a dedicated wheeler, and takes more hell, standing up like a man, than anybody on the interwebs. he is always one of the first to step up and volunteer to help. all he wants to do is get better at everything, and build (ricky correct me if i phrase this wrong) "big, stank nasty, phat daddy trucks".

anyway, he loves what he does, and he's kinda like our little mascot. haha.

YO! Rickys cool. Dats a phat daddy vote!

Rockmafia gets my vote for:
  • organizing the first (and trying to organize the second) rock race at the DPG
  • for being the public point of contact for the DPG, the Triangle/triad's ONLY private land offroad area that's been opened up by frequent invitation
  • freely offering up info on his builds, and not guarding them like some national treasure.
  • and for offering great work at VERY fair prices.

Oh, and I think he's also the president and secretary of the BIGWOODY (and now MRS. BIGWOODY as well) fan club, the fastest growing club on the web.. :flipoff2:

I vote Rich, solely based on this comment.
And good luck regearing his 6.72s:flipoff2:

If my vote counts...

I'de have to go with Chip. Most of ya'll only see what is here on the public forum. I see what goes on beyond the public forum. Even some of the nominees presented here call and ask him for advise, ideas and what would you do or how would you do it.

Ricky gets my vote...that dude has come a long way and still knows how to laugh and be sarcastic about himself.
Vote for me if you want, I wheel as often as possible and have made lots of friends all over the southeast and beyond. The problem is I win to often (my wife and I usually rack up at raffles without buying a pile of tickets), let someone else win. I also have been fortunate with my business and wheeling isn't breaking me just yet. Vote for someone who represents all that NC4x4 is suppose to be and who would really apppreciate and could use the freebie.

I vote for Chip (upnover). Has helped me from the start and never made that much money off me either. He is always will to lend a hand. One of the best people I have ever met.

i vote rich, but you can't gear rocks:flipoff2:

there are a bunch of deserving people on here. ricky is always down on his luck it seems and could use a break, and he gave me a hell of a deal on a motor. so why not. i vote ricky bobby.

Chase- since you cannot benefeit from free gears... i will just take all the votes from people who say "chase"- its the only logical thing to do:flipoff2:

rickys got mine

Vote for

upnover (chip price) just caust he would post a pic of his hard cold nipples

I vote for Andy Zuber. opened a shop got married at the same time. slaved his life away for all the people who needed rigs while CRS was open, then did the thing I thought he should have done a long time ago and took a full time job at another shop lol. I dont see how he didnt go insane though while crs on south blvd was just opening. that place blew up faster than any other business ive ever seen. he posts great knowledge on the board. a good guy all around. thats my vote.
