NC4x4 Man of the year....Giveaway

DylanW for spending a lot of his time begging all of the raffle prizes for CTB etc. Great dude, funny as heck and a great PR man. Doesnt build, but hes still great at what he does (little begger!). Diversity makes the world go round.
 
This just goes to show who the 4x4 man of the year should be... But as stated, you wouldn't benifit from your own work. Of course you might? Never turn on a switch in a Electricians house or flush a Plumber's toilet. They never have time for their own:poop:.
I'm going to save my vote for later. I have a few deals coming to a head between now and then. So for now...

I can think of a few Candidates...

BigWoody, even his stepping down as Candidate to give to someone else reflects the "Man of the Year" Characteristics.

Ricky, Ya, for all the reasons listed in so many other posts

Chip, Stand up guy, involved in the 4wd community, Knowledgable, Helpful, etc.

so many others...

But, If this is to be an annual thing, I vote for Rob, for if there was no NC4x4, there would be no NC4x4 Man of the year.

That's a tough one. There are a lot of helpful guys on this board, many of whom have heavily influenced my build by showing how they did things or great tech. This board is the best one I've came across, and it happens to also be local. Pirate has amazing tech, but not as many willing people.

I can't just vote for one, so here goes:

-Rockmafia for his amazing builds
-Rich for his tech and oddball knowledge
-Andy for being a great guy; he's always helped me out when I've called him with a problem.

The NC4x4 MOY IS upnover, Chip Price! Pick out your favoirte Chip story but my vote goes for wheeling despite of and while having a heart attack (Dixie Run 07)! Of course there are the stories of giving away parts, loaning money, sending his Ready Welder along on rides he can't go to, loaning brand new tools he hasn't even used yet, stopping to help a stranger on the trail when it means his ride is cut short, driving 4 hours to support a friends store grand opening, etc. There is no one on this board that I know of that is as giving as Chip. He will do without so that you can have. I cannot count the times I have seen him help others out at his own expense. I have ridden and socialized with lots of the guys on this board and for sure, they are a GREAT bunch of guys, and while most of the votes so far have gone to derserving candidates there is no one that I would rather have my back than Chip!

I have yet to meet him in person, but I was thinking the same thing. My vote is for Chip
 
btw, there are some great folks here, and honestly i could never name just one as man of the year. a large part of my vote was based on choosing someone i thought could maybe benefit the most. alot of deserving folks have careers, and can generally afford to spend extra cash on their hobby.

ricky is a student, who does alot of sidework (generally auto related) for cash and sinks all his spare money into his hobby, and could use a break. just thought i'd throw that out there.
 
My vote goes to Chip as well. All the aforementioned reasons are good, but Id like to point out how he blindly stood up for a few underage users not too long ago and sponsored them to join this board.

Ricky is hard to beat, for the Farm Invite #1 alone.

But having said that, Id prolly vote Chip as well.
Hell its tough to beat a guy who whjeels with a heart attack, is the most popular guy at damn near every event based solely on his willingness to help others for free (sure he advertises the RW by fixing their junk, bu he could force them to pay him) Hell he even recentl took in an abused puppy nursed him back to help and gave him away after all the money was spent. ::beer::
 
This is too hard, there are just too many good guys on here. So with that said, I vote MYSELF:flipoff2: Simply for the fact that I'm in the middle of a build and I need this:lol:
My second choice he,he would have to be Chip for alot of reasons. He's helped me and gave me advise plenty of times and there is nobody better on this board to wheel with, cause yall know Chips got da tools!
 
Please do not vote for me. While I appreciate the mention, there are far many people who should win this...

I've thought about this for a good while.. As others have said I feel Ricky has really gone full circle. He's been a sorta group project for the NC4x4 family to help guide and kick in the ass when needed.. I feel Ricky would be most deserving of the prize. BUT

My vote for man of the year would be Chip. I feel he has earned it. I've know him for a few years now and while I don't get a chance to hang out with him often I always look forward to some new story or things he's whipped up from nothing. I know his good kindness spreads further than the internet.

For the record this was really hard to decide... Craven you were a close 2nd, also just a super genuinely nice person. Many others could easily win this with no problem for any number of reasons.

I was going to vote for RockMafia because for me, buildup pics are probably my favorite part of 4x4 forums. However, you sold me on Chip so....

I'm gonna have to say Ricky for being the post whipping boy. He never seems to whine (to much) and always comes back for more.
