NC4x4 Man of the year....Giveaway

I'd vote Ricky. He takes a lot of personal attacks and never seems to stoop to the level of his attackers.

My vote goes to Chip though. He's a stand up guy that goes out of his way to help folks, offers helpful advice and is dedicated to the sport. He even kept right on :driver: while having heart trouble.

Wow, I just saw this post, I appreciate all the votes I wouldn't be where I am now without all of you guys, seriously, without NC4x4 I'd probably have the Z71 with a 15"IFS lift on 54's on bling 20's with no front driveshaft and 10" blocks in the rear trying to wheel at Uwharrie :shaking:

I really don't know where to begin with who to vote towards, Sooo many people have helped me out big Time but thats what makes this site what It is, yea we may get mad at each other and call the newbies stupid with their ideas about ridiculously big rigs trying to drive on the road with tractor tires, or trying to weld a dana 35 and carry an entire spare dana 35 axle in the back as a spare, or . . . . (and this one goes to the very begining) asking how much lift they need to fit 40's on a samurai with minimal fender trimming :lol::lol:

but when it comes down to it I don't really know many people here that havn't helped me in one way or another

I hate to choose but when it comes down to It I'd say Chip as well, back when I was first here he was one of the few that was willing to tolerate my idiocy and quite possibly the reason why I wasn't kicked off the board a couple times back in the day before we had to get sponsers as underage users ;)

And thanks again to everyone else who has helped me out over the years, ya'll know who you are.

I'm gonna have to vote Ricky Bobby & not cuz I just read what he wrote.... From what I hear & know, there are others i'm sure just as deserving. I just haven't met or wheeled with all of them yet.

Here's why he gets my vote....I met up with him at NCSU to look at some early cj leaf springs...so I walk thru the dorm to his room...walla...a WHOLE ROOM full of parts...no bed, no desk or books...parts stacked to the ceiling...I was surprised they hadn't kicked him outta there....not only that but half the trucks in the lot are sportin' BEAST inc banners that he had wrenched on and hoggin' up a couple spots each..

Since then its like everywhere I go ....who do I run into wrenchin' on Shit....Ricky Bobby...

One night I went to Southern 4x4's....who wasn't even home...I heared something out back and some dude layin on the ground with a drop light (Freezin' cold, snow on the ground)...I said Hey...who leans they're head out???...but Ricky Bobby...covered in grease...

I'm not sayin' i even like all the stuff he builds...I just like the effort he puts into it and the shit he endures doin' it...True Grit...

Speaking of effort ....I went by KC4x4's shop in Asheboro a while back....no one's seen him cuz he's holed up out there wrenchin' on his buggy..I'd say he'll be a contender for 2008.

I could probly second all the other votes on here for any of the guys I know. Truly some gifted talent out there and some of the Best Folks you'll ever meet to help you on or off the Trail!!! Here's to ya'll...

I'd have to vote Ricky too... without him, I know so many people that would have never even started wheelin, or having running rigs. That man puts more work into his friends rides than he does his own. (ps thats a crapload of time) The best thing about him is if he doesnt know whats wrong with your truck he'll get back to you the next day with how to fix it. You can find beastinc all over the raleigh area now cause, about any lifted truck or jeep or whatever gets wheeled near NCSU has been wrenched on by him at some time it seems. Ricky works harder and longer on more shit than anyone I know, and doesnt ask for much in return. And he can damn sure about fix any thing.
But mostly Ricky is truly one of the most stand up guys i've ever known is a true friend thats always there for you and willing to help.

i would vote for ricky too because he is my bud but i dont know what he would be gettin regeared. haha i mean rockwells, cant really regear those. i honestly dont know who to vote for.

Any of those guys military? I vote for any of the military guys/gals who can't be home for Christmas this year, I just wish I had names.

This was a really cool idea. Thanks Cperry. Congratulations UPNOVER.

This just goes to show who the 4x4 man of the year should be... But as stated, you wouldn't benifit from your own work. Of course you might? Never turn on a switch in a Electricians house or flush a Plumber's toilet. They never have time for their own:poop:.
I'm going to save my vote for later. I have a few deals coming to a head between now and then. So for now...
I CAN BE BOUGHT!

UPNOVER gets my vote. LOL :-D
I'm new on here and just now getting my feet wet and hope to meet more as I go along. But as for all I've met, I've been overwhelmed with the quality of friends on here. Chip, I hope I get the honor one day. But as for Chase...

I'm not too big into wheeling but my hobbie is restoring old Ford 4x4's (61-79) and most every truck gets new gears before the truck goes on the market with what meats I can stuff. I've been ripped for years from people who have no idea what they are doing. Then after finding NC4x4, I met Chase. He's hooked me up 3 times now extremely reasonable and super fast turn around. Johnny on the spot Mr. bend over backwards in one case. For any gear work in the triangle area. Hands down fellas...
Chase is DA MANNN in my book!!!!
:huggy::wheel::wheel::wheel:
