I have simply learned to ignore fuel mileage when towing....

And I average over 8mpg with the camper and Jeep.

It would probably help if the convoy wasn't averaging 75+ mph the entire way there

Maybe, but my truck pull best at 60, or 75. At 60 on most highways I feel I’m being a dangerous highway plug. Plus I got places to be!
