All I know is copied below; I don't completely understand what is required, but it doesn't look terribly difficult. Since I have no family in North Carolina, I'm reaching out to my friends here on nc4x4. For now, I need one name and address to send into his class, then my son will send his packet out to you from the school. I guess you receive it, send a cool postcard that you provide to his school, write a little something about your own city in the packet, then forward it to someone else. That someone else would be the next volunteer from this thread. Post up if you're interested, be sure to keep name/addresses private via IM's.
Thanks for your help, this could be really cool!...and if this works out, I have 2 more third graders who will need help next year

Fourth Grade Travelogs
As part of the fourth grade social studies curriculum, students will take part in a Travelog project. Students will send a Travelog to a family member or friend who lives in North Carolina. That person will send a postcard to the student at school. The person will then write about their city in the log and mail the log on to someone else in North Carolina. This process continues throughout the school year with the final log mailed back to the student by the end of the school year. Students in the past have enjoyed receiving postcards! Any postcards received will be displayed in the classrooms and returned to students at the end of the year. This project requires 3 First Class US Postage Stamps or "forever" stamps and the name and address of someone who lives in North Carolina to first receive the Travelog.
Please send in the 3 First Class or "forever" US Postage stamps by Wednesday, September 3, 2014 and the completed form below.
Thank you for your help in this exciting project!
