Hey y’all new to the community and new to off-roading. Been working on my jeep for the last 6 months wanting to finally get it out in the woods so I was planning on heading out to Uwahrrie in the next few weeks. Was searching online for a decent map and having a hard time finding. I really don’t want to pay for one of the apps if I can avoid it. I’m sorry ahead of time if there’s some place on the site with all this info already. I’m not that internet savvy. Thanks!

Welcome! You can get a free paper map at the Eldorado outpost when you pay for your trail pass. I used google offline maps that works ok. There's hardly any internet service in most of the area.

If you do want a bit of GPS assistance, Maprika was a free app last time I checked. It'll put your position on a Uwharrie JPG style map. There were Uwharrie ones available on the app for free as well. I use the map @CasterTroy posted in Maprika.

Going to go old school and print them out haha.
Just some advice

Don't go alone if possible. A second rig is ALWAYS advised for safety as well as recovery.

I would strongly suggest going mon-thur if possible. Friday early

Otherwise it can be extremely crowded. Between the rubber duck crowd, the shit box warriors, and the 4-wheeler hooligans, it's not very enjoyable on a weekend

Thanks for the info. My plan was to head up there in a Monday or Tuesday. Your not the first to warn me about the duck cult taking over on the weekends
