New Member Check In - Post HERE <------------------

Hello all... glad to have found this site.

John, from between Durham/Chapel Hill

4x4's owned and worn out... '64 Wagoneer, '52 CJ2a, '74 Scout II, '84 CJ7, '88 K5 Blazer

And now just picked up a 2000 GMC Sierra K1500, full bed, regular cab.

The Scout II, and Blazer K-5 rocked... Lasted a long time. I miss them. Even washing them down from ocean fishing; they all eventually rust and wear out. The Sierra will be a good project. No rust. I've got great 15" tires from the K-5. The freakin' new truck is 16".

Hi I am Stu, hail from Maryland. I have a lot of friends here on the board from one end of the state to the other. Been wheeling quite a few times in NC and it is always a blast. I am a member of Old Dominion Binders (ODBA) and South East Binders (SEBA).

I am into International Scout 80s and 800, and currently have a bunch. I also like the fullsize D series PUs and have a AWD mixer chassis (M-412-CBE).

My current drivers are both Scout 800s....a 1968 800 266 v8 4BBL, T19 close with Scout II D44s going in. Lots of other minor mods. The other is a 1971 800B with a 232 I6, T19 close and stock D44R D30F looking for some 3.73 or higher SII axles. Multiple running but not driving 800s and 800Bs. Multiple parts rigs.

The M-412-CBE is running and driving but I don't trust the air brakes or the fuel delivery and the truck will be a very LTB.

yea been there a coupla times.i lived in austin for 2 years and was only 2to4 hours from some killer spots. trees ranch, boulder creek, longs ranch, katemcy and a coupla more. all of these places are between 2000 and 3000 acres each, really miss them.havent got to do a lot since i moved back home but been to uwharrie a couple times. it's not bad as long as you don't need hardcore challenges all the time.if it's wet it get's good.

Just sayin' "Howdy"

I'm Patrick and just wanted to say "Hey" to everyone. I live in Fayetteville but have family (in-laws) in Catawba County so i'm familiar with both east and western NC. The sight looks really cool so I'm going to go now and check it out some more. See ya' around.
