Self Intro
Hey Ladies and Gents! I'm new the site, so I figured I'd do the introduction thing. I'm not new to forums in general, so I know the etiquette and I've read the rules and know how to use the search feature.
So now that that's out of the way...I'm a 24 year old retired Military Brat (Dad retired in 2001). I've live in a LOT of different places, but spent the majority of my life here in Good 'Ol NC...Havelock/Cherry Point to be exact. I moved up to Raleigh in August 2008 to start my BS in Electrical Engineering at NCSU (Go Pack!) I've had my truck for a while, but never really had the funds to do any sort of mods (I'll get into this in the next paragraph). I've been doing some minor mod work to my car, but only becuz it's somewhat cheaper. I've been fascinated with BIG trucks since as far back as I can remember...started off with Bigfoot and now it's currently Gravedigger...every childs dream hah!
Ok, so about the truck...I bought a 1999 Ford F-250 SuperDuty back in May of 2005. You're probably instantly thinking diesel...unfortunately not...V10 BABY!!! Then a few months later gas price sky rocketed and I felt pretty dumb, but I refuse to get ride of my truck and love it to death. It's just about paid for now, so I'm about a year away from having the title in hand...super stoked about that. Obviously the truck is a 4x4...why else would I be here. It's pretty much stock with the execption of a few different stereo systems (I changed them up a lot back when I was young and dumb), an AEM Brute Force Intake, Dual GlassPack CherryBombz, and 8 strobes in the head, tail, turn and reverse lights (they're currently not working right).
Since it's tax season...and I'm getting a rather hefty return...the truck is getting a 5.5" Fabtech, 18" Rockstars, and 37" Mud Grapplers. This will be taking effect within the next month...probably a matter of weeks actually. I may have to wait for the wheels/tires a little bit becuz the total of all this is just slightly over my budget...but we'll see.
Well there you have it...just enough about me to be dangerous...hope to get to know some of ya'll and become part of the NC4x4 Family.
This will probably be the only question I ask without searching...Uwharrie...I've always seen Jeeps and "smaller" trucks...are there any trails that would accomodate a large truck like mine will be? Not big into rock crawling, but I'd like to give it a try on an easy trail someday...maybe...
