New Member Check In - Post HERE <------------------

Bundy here, checking in from Indian Trail NC. Recently got my hands on a 84 CJ7. Not my first jeep but, its been a few years. Looking forward to getting back into wheeling.

Hey everyone. Well, I'm from near Hickory, NC. While I don't have a 4x4 I do have a Toyota Pre-runner that I wish to God was a 4wd. But until I get me an old beater Yota she'll do. The ole pre-runner I got don't look too bad. Jus put some 15x8 bullet holes on after I refinished them and painted them hammer grey with a gold center to match paint. Must say it doesn't look bad at all. Anyways, I'm pretty much here jus lookin for good sales and information on various things. Thanks all.

Another check in from Charlotte. Got a 96 ZJ and am on the lookout for local trails.

4.0 and 242 tcase. Nothing special yet just taking care of all the upfront maintenance first. Looking forward to some new tires and shocks before winter. I've got it all trimmed up already so I'll probably go for 32's if I can find a cheap 2" bb.

Already found some nice trails down near waxhaw but if anyone in the area wants to go find some more shoot me an email :)

Greetings from Louisiana (hope that's okay). Mainly joined to follow Wwildman's Jeepster build. My DD is a '07 JK 2dr X. Also have an '89 YJ Laredo and am currently restoring a '67 Jeepster.

Hello, I was referred here from Pirate4x4(member in good standing since '04), since I will be a North Carolina state resident hopefully within the next couple of weeks. I'm sure I know a few of you in passing from Pirate, and hope to meet, wrench, and possibly wheel with(once I finally get a rig started and built:lol:) more of the North Carolina members over time. I am not new to NC, I do have family scattered around eastern North Carolina in the Greenville/Washington/Pactolus area. However, I will be new to Raleigh. I'll explain more in a more relevent thread.

Cybergeek23851, AKA, Jason Y, or for those in the loop, Chappy :shaking:

Hello, I am a new Raleigh member, referred through a local motorcycle forum (my other hobby). My vehicle is a Ford E350 with the Quigley 4wd. I built a performance engine for it, now it is time to start messing with the suspension :)

New Guy from WNC W/IH Scout

New to the forum looking for some people to wheel with around Asheville.
Bought my 72 Scout back in Dec and am still working out some bugs. 304, 4spd, Dana 300 transfer, 33x12.5 TA`s, 4 inch lift springs, Ramsey winch, other PO mods.
Just got the new engine dialed in and put my foot in it and twisted the drive shaft off .:shaking:
Picked up a used one from a fellow Binder Planet guy (Mormetl)
Any body else in the area?
I`ll try and post a pic when I figure out how.

New to the board - very impressed with the level of:
1) technical knowledge
2) manners

Don't have a 4wd right now - sold my K5 this spring after I realized that I wanted it to be a DD, and it needed too much body work for that to be worthwhile... now I'm looking for something in better condition.

Hello all. This is Toby from Northwest NC. I have a 05 Jeep Cherokee and would love to join some of you guys for some wheeling events/gatherings throughout the year. Thanks guys!:driver:

Just a little note to say hello from New Bern. My husband and I both have Wranglers and love getting out and exploring. I look forward to being a part of the community here and learning from all of you experienced 4x4 folks!

btw - should I be able to upload a profile pic / avatar? I haven't been able to find the option within my User CP yet.

New checking in... was referred here by midwayjeremy. He is moving to NC soon and since he has offered me a place to stay I figured I would sign up!

4 1/2" RC lift, 32's, soon to be locked. Also adding a recessed winch.. still a lot I want to do to it, but time and money are always a factor!

Where in WV are you from? Where in NC are you moving to?

Howdy, first time on this site, well... certainly not first time, but first post anyhow. I live in Fallston (suburb of lawndale wich is a suburb of shelby) I have a stock 96' ZJ that i built from two ZJ's for $700 and is my semi-daily driver. I used to have an 88' XJ, but fire consumed it to the point where it wasnt worth fixing. :flipoff2: It was only $180 anyhow.

My DD is an 82 madza b2200 diesel.
I have an 84 mazda b2200 diesel turbo project
and a 95' full size bronco which is soon to be torn apart.

I have several trails on the family property, which I have now grown tired of and Im going to start going out and about to see where I can wheel, in a fairly stock veichle anyway.

Just here for community and to share and learn from fellow offroaders in NC.
