Welcome Kevin and Darrell!

Kevin, you may have already noticed that we've (very) recently lowered the age for members requiring a sponsor to those under age 18. Enjoy!

new jeep owners

Hello to all from Union County nc. Just bought a 79 CJ5 and in the process of educating myself about the Jeep world. I have lots of experience from restoring older cars. I have tons of questions and I hope to get a few thoughts and ideas to help me with the rebuild of this.
Thanks,
CP

There is plenty to wheel in a stockish TJ.

What's up everybody? I'm Jeremy, fairly new to wheeling, been messing around at Uwharrie and using the national forums, but I'm hoping to get up with some more local people. I've got a 92 xcab Toyota pickup with some basic mods; 4.88's, Aussie rear, 33's, in the process of getting some armor on it. Thanks for having me!

Hello from Hickory

Hello to all, been a member of NPORA and NOAS for a bit and found this site. Just saying hello, not driving anything to special but its a 97 Pathfinder LE, looking to get lifted and 31" before to long. Also if anyone in the area is great at fab I would be interested in getting some skids and sliders fabbed as well as a TJM/ARB style bumper.

Here is the sticky about it.

But to sum it up, It means that you need someone to sponsor you in order to have access to other sections of the board. Best thing to do is post in Chit Chat until you get to know everyone and see if someone from your area will sponsor you. It works best if its someone who can kinda show you the ropes and give you a helping hand when needed. Best way to do this is to keep your eye on the upcoming events, and get out and meet some people in person. This the best way to get a sponsor. That way the person sponsoring you knows you on a personal level.

Next weekend is the Toys For Rocks Ride in Mtn City TN, Its about a 2 hour ride for you but it would well worth it. This is going to be a great event for a great cause. There will be a ton of people there, so you will have a good chance of hooking up with someone to wheel with. We (Trail Jammers) will be there camping from Friday Morning to Sunday Morning. So your welcome to tag alone if you like.

Here is a link to event, there should an address so you can pull up directions. The event is Saturday the 7th.

Another option is the 4x4everyone group that has just formed. It is aimed toward helping people that getting started into wheeling and could use some advice. The group is made of new and old wheelers. What I mean is there is someone there to help with questions. There a great group of people.

okay thanks once again i want to make that but probably wont because my zj is stock and isnt running at the moment... i will make it to event like that soon enough. It sucks not having a job and a baby on the way with a wheeling adiction that i got from my father.
