naw it was a black rat snake. I new what it was when I went to grab it. It tried to avoid me kinda slowly. When I grabbed it it coiled around my arm/wrist and it was very strong. It was docile and when I put it back down on the deck it slowly moved away. We have a lot of skinks on the decks and I'm thinking it was hunting them.

Skin first on the big ones, then fillet off to bone is what I do.

Aside from the algae and moss and those few dents in the back, the body was really solid and the interior was in pretty good shape. Definitely be worth saving.
