you made me look back at my records after I saw that laptime....this is VIR North course
1:32 flat on a Yamaha R1 superbike
1:34.5 on a Yamaha TZ 250cc GP bike
1:37.9 on a Yamaha TZ 125cc GP bike
The R1 was handling like crap that day, but I'm sure someone else could have flogged it around the track a couple seconds quicker.
* these were from different events from 2003 to 2005
Ninja 500 is an awesome starter bike, and good to keep as a track bike (a whole lot cheaper, tires every 5 weekends instead of 2 or 3 set per weekend with a modern sportbike). I have no idea at all on the Ninja 650.
I thought I made a good choice with a Hayabusa as my first bike...(yeah right)...
...I got a deal on it I couldn't pass up...
...never took that safety course...but did ride with some sense...
...then again...a Hayabusa is barely even a 'sport' bike...more a cruiser...but it goes sorta fast...
...get some frame sliders...it saved my bike when I dropped it at Bojangles...yeah I said it...I dropped it...after riding that thing though I feel like I could throw a R6 over my shoulder and take a run...
