I may have found the last old-style pump in Raleigh. Haven't laid eyes on it yet, though.

Never heard of them, Ken

I work at Carquest corporate and am showing that we have one in stock at our Raleigh DC (2635 E. Millbrook Rd. Raleigh, nc 27604).

MFG code FP part number HFP943. pm me if I can help further.

He's on his way to the WF store, the Raleigh store told him they (WF) had one and he talked with someone there who thinks it is the right one... I called Chason and spoke with a guy named Kevin who says they have it too. Thanks, y'all.

Kevin is a great guy.. and I think lives down the street from Blkvoodo(sp)

That's the same setup as the med duty trucks run.

Pump's in, pump works. Truck runs. We'll be on the road shortly.

Thanks everybody.

CQ listed two different part numbers. That one at the warehouse was like $325. The other one had an Airtex (??) part number and was $225. I went and got the cheaper one.

Yeah, that's what I keep hearing. I'd actually planned on picking up a spare stock-style pump just to have "in case". I forgot about buying one until today.

Sucks, too... since I spent the better part of last Saturday replacing all the brakes, calipers, water pump, hoses, thermostat, etc. Wish I'd known I was going to need a lift pump then... woulda saved me three hours and probably $100.

But shit... for what an Airdog costs... that thing better lower my EGT... or come with an a-dapter for the driver's seat or something. I can buy a whole lot of $125 stock pumps for that price.

I dunno what to think. Everybody talks shit about the OEM pump, but this one lasted 9 yrs and 129k. Not sure it owes me anything.

The hate comes from vp truck owners. Unless you're running a pressure gauge the only way of knowing when your lift pump dies is a few thousand miles later when your injection pump dies.

Yep, like hippie said above. Its not such a big deal with a CP3 fellar like yourself Shawn. Its voodoo when it comes to a vp truck.
